Its amazing that Pagani is built basically in a shed with a bunch of jean wearing grease monkeys that are able to kill any Lambo or Ferrari in speed, duration, style, performance. Ferr, Lambo have a racing pedigree with unlimited budget, trees growing in factories, cute little suitcases, and are CRAP compared to Pagani, shows you what a rip-off

7.3 liters pumping out 650hp? I dont want to come across as knocking this fine piece of engineering. Nay, exquisite piece of engineering.

But Americans get knocked by Top Gear for 'producing so little power from such big engines.' But 650hp out of 7.3? The ZR1 produces about that with 6.3 or 6.4, granted the ZR1 is supercharged. Still without supercharging a Camaro makes about 450 HP and thats from the factory, with some aftermarket modifications it can be brought up to at least 550

@ThunderAppeal usually when they mention that their talking about ferrari, how they can produce 480-550 our of a 4.3 or 4.5 liter motor. smaller motors equal shorter stroke which makes your revs so up faster and allowing for 9500 rpm red lines.

@ThunderAppeal Most american engines like the dodge viper has push rods. What that means is that they are extremely durable and reliable but it's harder to extract power from the engine. So bigger displacement is needed.

With a little bit of tweaking the GM block can be coaxed in to a streetable 650 also.

#2 is the Koenigsegg CCX (soon to be Agera) because of its raw power

#3 is the Corvette z06 because it is such a good building block if you want tune it.

In 2000 at the Paris Motor Show the EB 16/4 prototype was unveiled. This car had almost identical styling to the production Veyron and was powered by a still insane, but slightly more realistic, W16 engine. A year later, in 2001, Volkswagen announced that they were taking the Veyron to production.

Pagani is no doubt a fine example of a supercar, but it is not the fastest, or the most exclusive. The Koenigsegg CCXR Edition is the fastest, most exclusive with only 6 examples ever made.

its not the fastest- the veyron or SSC ultimate aero are faster and im thinking the SSC is pretty close to being as exclusive. and if we are talking editions and not models then there would be a lot of most exclusive cars with 1 ever made. but i agree that koenigseggs arent as regular as toyotas! ;)

yes, it is the fastest but it hasn't been officially tested yet. Christian Koenigsegg made an unofficial run of 259mph on their test track in sweden, plus it holds the record for accelerating to 186mph and back down to 0 again. 0-186-0. It only took 25 seconds to do this.

damn thats impressive. i agree the veyron is spectacular but its because it gets so much attention that everyone thinks its the best. it lost to a hennessy viper in the standing mile but for 4000+ lbs and barely any carbon fiber, it does pretty good! just wait until the hennessy gt comes out next year - 270mph!
