  • Dam i wish i had that display set in the 80s

  • I couldn't pronounce his name as a kid so I simply called him "numb-nuts" ^_^

    Awesome character though!

  • I love Nien Numb "heheheheheheheh!"

  • I just picked the proof of purchases out of the trash when my friends got them.

  • Do you think I could still get one?

  • Have it! Oh, and it's Zuckuss, not 4-LOM, ya dumbass!!!

  • @DarthSquidward Kenner got 4-LOM and Zuckuss mixed up back then. Hasbro even made modern day versions with the wrong names too for C5 last year. (on purpose of course)

  • @commanderbacara198 I know.

  • @commanderbacara198 not exactly, because kenner made their names but because of the ''4'' it had to be a robot.

  • @DarthSquidward if you knew about star wars toy history, you would probably understand that back then they didn't have the right names, kenner made all the names of the ones whos names aren't mentioned, zuckuss was 4-loms name back then and 4-lom was zuckuss's name back then.but they chose 4 lom for the droid because of the ''4'' and gave the organic the name zuckuss.so look up your stuff next time so you wont look so ignorant:)

  • @mandofanfilms I KNOW ALREADY!!! I was only picking on the commercial!! Give it a rest already, jeez!

  • @DarthSquidward if you did know you would'nt have written the comment:D

  • Isn't he a little old for those toys?

  • @FiendsInRedSatin1

     by 2011, yeah. He's probably 38 now.

  • God I feel so old now.

  • It's actually pronounced Neen Numb I thought.

  • cheesy commercials...gotta love it. The toys sold themselves, no need for some fancy graphics

  • at least now I know how to pronounce his name! Thanks 80's toy commercial!!!

  • Reading this wil shock die hard Star Wars fans. Ever wondered what Palitoy did to the figures that didn't sell during 1985? They threw them on a tip close to where I live, soon after our school was flooded with so many Star Wars figures, the teachers banned everything Star Wars. The kids were trading them. Most of the figures were common stormtroopers and droids but sometimes you'd see a Han Solo or a Leia. Never knew of any vehicles being traded.

  • @MrMarkzilla - threw them in a "tip" ?

  • @WKRPinCINN I know, shocking isn't it. Palitoy's head factory was in Coalville which is inbetween where I live and Leicester city centre. Believe it or not, Star Wars figures hit an all time low after jedi and although there was the Droids and Ewoks cartoons, Star Wars didn't begin to reach it's height until the mid 90's, that's when the prices began to rocket. At the school, children had pockets bursting with Star Wars figures.

  • thats a beeengo!

  • whoa that kid is awesome. 0:09

  • Nien Nunb is a bad ass.

  • I just remember buying Nien Numb in the stores.

  • thats zuckuss not 4-lom

  • Somewhere down the line, during the production of the 4-LOM and Zuckuss action figures back in the early 80's, there was a mistake in printing. The result was 4-LOM was called Zuckuss and Zuckuss was called 4-LOM. The expanded universe corrected it (and confused a bunch of us in the process) some time in the late 90's. I still call them by the names they were originally given (misprint aside) back in the early 80's.

  • I want that stand that there all on for my figures

  • Hasbro has yet to improve on this version of Nien Nunb.

  • that bounty hunter is not 4-LOM, he's Zuckuss

  • the kid in the spot is in his teens. I think he was bullied in school after that

  • Dang. the offer has expired!

  • @td30a LOL

  • oh joy.i remember sending off for nien nunb

  • yeah- Franky Holbrook's parents loved him enough for Star Wars action figures- i got The Hamburglar in full tin relief

  • we always called him "Knee-in-numb", rather than "Nigh-in-numb"

  • One more proof of purchase and Nien Numb is mine baby!!!

  • LOL...im still waiting for my early bird figures....¡¡¡¡

  • Great advert. ..I think I missed the offer expiry date though. damn.

  • 'Nien Numb'...what a character..sometimes misrepresented as 'Numb Nuts'

    intergalactic butt-cheeks included.

  • That kid stole my haircut from 1982! Blurgh!

  • i remember getting Admiral Akbar for 5 proof of purchases. This was after the release of Empire and Lucas was titling his new movie, at the time, "Revenge of the Jedi." It was later changed to make it sound better.

  • Actually it was changed due to the fact that a Jedi does not take revenge.

  • That was the excuse given to Fox so they would back off when George wanted to change it, however, Anakin was returning to the Jedi order at the end through his redemption and that was the real reason for the title. But explaining that would have leaked the plot's end to the media and they would have spoiled it for movie-goers.

  • i just think its cool the Yamomamo actually chopped people up with roofing metal machetes- kinda puts the Teamsters to shame

  • Is that Wil Wheaton?

  • no- Wil has a specially marked package- this is some sort of love child between Hugh Grant and Tony Bonnaduci- number 26 i think in fact- its getting harder and harder to collate since China took over

  • i think all the old star wars commercials should be in this type of high quality

  • ah , good times , good time

  • to viker77

u deaf? It expired 25 years ago!

  • LOL omg he's got fricken plastic hair . "NERD ALLERT"

  • Dude, I know, I know. Numb is ..... with his language...sort of cool....but dude! Why would we want this shithead like action figure!!?? At least if it could talk, but he's not!! seriously.

  • lol sa fait assez dur comme annonce.

  • Ive still got Nien Numb in a box in my garage. I never knew he was a send away guy though.

  • That promo was also in the U.K. i actually sent off for him and he came in a plain white box. I was so happy to have him as ROTJ had just come out it was cool figure back then because it was a mail away.

  • lol omg Nien Nunb, who wouldnt spend money on that

  • crap, i gotta hurry up and send in those proofs of purchase.

  • Excellent, I love Nien Numb.

  • *l* Which is worth more now, the freebie action figure everyone sent out for, or the original figures in boxes with the proofs of purchase intact?

  • the original figures still in package by a LONG shot.

  • Thanks for posting..... best quality of the vintage commercials I've ever seen. very clean!!!!!
