Neat! But it said lifting, so I expect the load to go up over time and a double-tied counterweight/varipulley in back to either go down or use a tiny fluid power station. Lots of safety systems.... How does it rewind anyhow, a cog on the spool and a careful hand on same? And the finish is really plain looking, is it beeswax; do you think of soaking pieces in tung oil for longevity, or is it more the promise of 50 years of performance art with controlled humidity and care?
@Cineenvenordquist : Mate, your expectations of my skills are way too high! Its rewound with a key at the front just under the hands. Its finished in satin clear spray can.
Not bad for a "Stupid Bloody Ozzie" But don't let your stacomas get in you way, all you need are some positive affirmations and you will be all set. And don't let negative inferences about yourself get you down. Work toward your actual potential not your expected potential and everything will be all right. So let me be one of the first to give a positive affirmation.
Very nice design. That is one clean running escapement - which is difficult to accomplish with that many teeth on the escape wheel.
I have watched all of your videos, and I have a friend that graduated from the Chapman Film College in Orange, CA that could not produce as captivating vignettes as you have showing off your clocks. The music, angles, etc. all grab one's attention. Nice job.
what music is this?
