I have another question. if you want to have this "foundation" after the first floor and the second floor how would you go about doing so? I can get it after the first floor, but not after the second floor because the walls level out with the "structure" used for levelling out. I also tried raising the terrain, the building the "structure" on top of that, but I had no success.

Found a much simpler way introduced in Ambitions - a new cheat from the help section in cheat console "PlaceFriezes on/off" allows you to place foundations above ground, for example on roofs.

Things just got much easier, got to thank the people behind sims 3.

@danieeel31 I found out how. should make an annotation or w/e its called about it. If your house is built on a foundation on step 6 you have to lower terrain on a 1x1 spot by 3 clicks anywhere on the grid and put your foundation there. I'm not really good at explaining and i don't know how to make vids either so hope this helps xD

What is not mentioned is the all important cheat code cfe or constrainfloorelevation false. Type it into the "window" at the top you get by pressing ctrl+shift+c, then you type constrainfloorelevation false. Be careful what you do with the cheat on, you might destroy your entire build. Use constrainfloorelevation true when you do not need it anymore. Remember to turn it off before you save your game.

I'm not quite sure if they're doing something wrong. I had the same problem, but there is a short and easy way to correct it.

1st you have to build a 1x1 foundation (like in your vid.), than you have to build a wall next to it (NOT on top), now use the flatten tool to make the wall as high as the foundation. Well, now you build another wall onto the first one. It is almost the same as in your vid, but this way it works... You can continue as in the vid! I hope it works now! ;)

Using two walls is just more complicated.

@mariahkemp You're not screwed. Why are you using 3 levels for a 2 level house? 2 levels for a 2 level house, it's real simple. Just make it exactly like in the video.
