Don't get me wrong - I love Shannon Hoon, and I think we lost him b4 the height of his careeer. Who knows what else we could have heard from him?

But as someone who knows, he looks totally f'ked up. He can't focus on anything and his lips look blue for the first half. Compare it to the performace w/ Kennedy on MTV. Part of his brilliance was what killed him. Kurt , Layne, Janis, Jimmy, on 'n on - brilliant and tortured, not to mentioned the ones that dont make the news cuz theyre not famous

Hoon's voice is actually good live. he didn't force the vocals making them sound retarted (black eyed peas - autotone). most preformances sound awful compared to the recorded version. Hoon's voice sounded way better live.

I don't think these guys are one hit wonders as a lot of people label them as such. I think that they have tons of great songs. But these guys kind of receded back over the years. I thought Travis Warren was a great replacement for Shannon. Though, I think that Chirs Shinn was the logical replacement. Thorn even worked with him... I guess things can't always work out like you'd hoped they would you know?

Dude, then i guess you just don't get music and changing it up to your liking at the moment. its his song, he can do what he wants with it, intentional or not, it still sounded great, and he made it his own with something that was already, his own. if you listen to a lot of melons live shit he changes the words to certain parts a lot and sometimes like that, slightly changes the melody to his feeling at that moment.
