  • A man with true talent, and a Brit I'm guessing? Haha I don't know this man, but if I were to chance meet him I would love to. I am about to pick up the art of playing the beautiful instrument known as the violin. True beauty:)

  • special

  • If you shouted out that there was an X factor special on telly all the people in that street would panic and run home to watch it...and this guy?.... is ignored, thats what our society has come down to, DUMBED down and ignorant could not care less about real Art and craft and they would not know it if it slapped them in the face. rant over.... Ed GO FOR IT!! superb!

  • right on you mate, good luck to you and your beautiful music

  • @ObamaSucks12345 grow up

  • @ObamaSucks12345 Well i guess you'd know what a bum is eh?? I'd guess you suck mens dicks for your living,am i correct?? ARSEHOLE!

  • I Fukin hate THAT PAIR OF STUPID ugly scrubbers.Texting folk about where they can get most COCK that night! I think the one on the left stars in Little Britain!! ARSEHOLES with no appreciation of a superb musician! The tossers even walked out(RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA) at my favourite part of the piece!SLAGS.

  • 3 people should be drawn and quartered.

  • Vicky Pollard!!!

  • @Adrian, he has played in HUGE music venues hes been on tv hes done a whole heap of stuff. Tbh he makes enough money from busking that he dosent need. I prefere he dose this on the streets, you can go talk to him or just enjoy his music and you dont have to pay silly ammounts to get into his venue.

  • Awesome!!!! I Just Got An Electric This Morning(: But, I Dont Know How To Tune It.... Haha

  • ed im seriously interested in your album are they on ebay if so could you send me the item number as i carnt find them

  • now this is what you call a musician

  • it looks like a mini guitar!! lol

  • Cada vez q escucho esta música, mi ser hace un pare al trajín de esta vida y con toda la paciencia contemplo el video.

  • This was awesome until the girls in the background left ;P

  • @1nDaClubFucker They were ugly chavs :p and they didn't stick around to see Edd play, which in itself says enough x')

  • @illistas sorry for asking, but what are 'chavs', i've heard it several times already bot don't really know wat it reallymeans, kindoff wondering

  • @FutureInvestment Chavs are low-life ,common, usually ugly, uneducated and disrespectful shites like the two girls that spoiled Ed's Video !!

  • someone find this violin and his setup and post it here, im buying it, and I know he like made his violin, find one like it, i dont care if you have to sell your souls....kthnx

  • can he play at my wedding?

  • Love how there are in fact a couple of teenage dirt-bags behind him. Maybe he saw them and decided to play it.

  • I hate seeing people just walk by this man. Even people who don't like that kind of music know that he's talented. Not many people as good as Ed.

  • He is truly one of the best musicians/artists of our time.

  • HOW CAN PEOPLE JUST WALK BY LIKE THAT?!?! THIS IS BRILLIANT!!!!

  • @kingofgames1220

    Word ! ! !

  • It has 5 strings...

I really want an electric violin but i can only play 4 strings.

  • wow thats really cool =D i would love to meet this guy he has mad skillz on that electric violin

  • 10x better then gay ass California Gurls, and this isnt even his best.

  • i dont think many people know about electric violins tbh but they are one of those unappreciated instruments

  • one of the girls was like dat lil britain chav dude

  • Brilliant!

  • Ive seen Ed perform in York a few times and am dismayed that a guy with this level of talent isn't a major star. Fantastic intoxicating sounds, and a very approachable friendly man. Go Ed

  • went to York on saturday and I had the pleasure of seeing this man perform in exactly the same place you see now.He was playing a muse track and I had to stop and watch.

  • I was attempting to be amusing!! Unsuccessfully it would appear!! Do you remember humour TheMrJevz?? I Love ed alleyne-johnson's stuff.I think he should be a mega star!

  • i'm in love.

  • NOT a dirtbag. sorry :D

  • Thats some funny kinna geetur!! Aint got 6 strings !!!The guys rubbin a fish'in rod cross it! Hey though you Brits are a bit weirfk!

  • I do not know why? but always return to see and hear this thing

  • Comment removed

  • that's really really good!!! :D

  • his violin and bow are awesome! and his music isnt half bad either :D

  • @aceTL87 he carved out his violin with a kitchen knife :)

  • I hardly ever see performers like this here in the U.S. the occasional person i see though i always stop and listen to. :) This guy's amazing

  • I agree with lotussakura9999 :D

  • I think if 1 instrument takes over lead of metal from electric guitar it will be electric violin.

Has all the same speed and power of guitar but also much more emotion.

    Also this guy rules.

  • Awesome song. Unlike those two lame girls that left in the middle while he was playing, i would have stayed and listened.

  • verry good

  • Love him!!!!

  • Great stuff!

  • He's a TRUE artist!

  • Does that guitar have 5 strings?

I wonder which note the extra one goes to.

  • seriously, that is not a guitar it is an electric violin. How often do you use a bow to play on a guitar, lol

  • LOL, My bad! I know it's a violin. I get confused with words and life ;)

  • Nigel tufnel! wooooh spinel tap!

actually paul gilbert uses a bow on his guitar for the song silence followed by a deafening roar.

but only one stroke 3 different times.

    but ed is amazing

  • it gives him the note range of a viola and a violin.

alows him to get as low as a viola and as high as the violin... the string is prob a C string.

  • @Assmask It's a violin, not a guitar. It's probably a C string.

  • @Assmask Going by another comment on another video, it does have 5 strings. Wanted to bridge the gap between a Viola and Violin or something.

  • Should be a superstar. Saw him in York last week and he was much better than anything ive found on u-tube. You can buy his suff,on -tunes i have , and cant bellieve this guys talent. I dont like (rock) violinists, but this guy is sublime

  • this is the real ed no one who immitates him is as good as him i see him everytime i go to york he amazing !!!

  • perfect!

  • Lol awesome violon is so cool and looks hard to play

  • its the real ed its a custommade violin

  • He doesn't care, he plays music because he feel it and like it.

  • if i were him i would be sooo embrass

  • Why would you be embaressed?

To be an awesome musician is NOTHING to be ashamed about..

Playing beautiful music to people just for your own liking..

    That's a real musician :D

  • he uses a metronome so his recent violin playing repeats

  • wtf, i thought metronome only gave tempo... i think that he uses some echo box

  • it's a friggin loop station and effects pedal.

    :P

  • is this in chester?

cause us chester folk miss him :(

  • He does have his own songs, but when busking you can make a lot more money playing recognizeable songs.

  • you must search orange and ultraviolet, this two are made by him.

  • Wow why'd everybody jump all over MysteriousDrella lol. I agree with Ticuwe 100% and I friggin love Ed but Mysterious didnt exactly say anything negative about him xD

  • well SAID!! This man deserves millions of heavily devoted followers... maybe call it the Alleyne cult of badass violin... it'd be sweet.

  • Ed alleyne johnson is 1 of the greatest underrated underappreciated violin players ever. Any1 from any music group will apreciate the sounds of Ed. Too bad, he's not heavily advertised, as the crappy music we are forced to listen to here in the U.S.

This man should be playing in very big concert halls, not in the streets. He probably will make it big someday, and he should, because the world would love every single ed alleyne johnson originals. GO ED!

  • I saw him on 8.11.08 and he was awesome ,played Freebird ,Sweet Child of Mine and other interesting versions of classics .I was curious about his power source and he has solar power device connected which i thought was a bit optimistic for York in November !.He was doing great trade with his donations and cd sales but I do think he enjoys the busking regardless. If you visit England check out York as its a very nice city .

  • I see him as a free spirited man with the right amount of ambition to just strictly live life following his own passion and we are just lucky enough he shares it with us. And just because he isn't in a band working a set schedule doesn't make him underrated nor underappreciated. Because he is neither. He is a great talent that doesn't restrict himself to what society things should be normal and that doesn't make him less valuable. I actually like that he doesn't allow anyone to exploit him.

  • amen to that!

  • @AldrinCoolFool I saw him in York when he was busking too, he's brilliant, i think he does some concerts sometimes :)

  • @AldrinCoolFool Definately

  • @AldrinCoolFool No, no ,no, I don't think you understand this man at all. He doesn't want to "make it big", and he already has his own shows in a hall. Ed Alleyne-Johnson doesn't play in the streets to make it big, he simply plays because he wants to. 'Advertising' and 'making it big' is the leading cause of shitty music, because companies want to advertise what is popular, not what is talented.

  • @AldrinCoolFool While i agree with you that Ed deserves to make it big, one of the best things about him is being able to walk through my own town and hear his brilliant music, an ordinary person like him on the street performing for the people.

It's horrible to see alot of good artists become mainstream dribbel :(

  • @AldrinCoolFool do you know the violin-typ he's playing?

  • @paulusmusic It's an electric violin he made himself.

  • @AldrinCoolFool but, it's also great that he offers his lovely music for free, so that everoyne is can listen to it :)

  • @AldrinCoolFool Its not about fame. Its about the music.

  • 0ooh.. its perfect! great j0b!
