Whats the matter? Once in life can't you join the REST AND HAVE A BIT OF FUN!!
OH YOU THINK YOUR SO FUCKIN SPECIAL DON't YOU!!!
We're juss trying to have a few fleeting moments of happiness and this miserable existence WE LAUGHINGLY CALL LIFE......ahahahAHAHA i can't stop replaying that part xD
@wwyd4akb Haha, I think we all do from time to time. I think it quite brain-mashing to think that such different comedians could get on as well as those two do.
@wwyd4akb I'm pretty sure comedians meet each other all the time, but I wouldn't have thought Sean and Dylan would hit it off as much. Sean and Bill have known each other since they first started, so I supoose that's where it comes from. Is Dylan still doing stand-up?
Complaining about stand up comedians reusing the same material would be like going to a music gig and expecting a band to create a brand new track list for every fucking show
@z0mgrugbyreturns That's a good example, because it's a great way to explain it. Bands write an album, then go on tour with it, occasionally playing some old stuff too. They don't make a new album for every gig they do. They'd be creatively spent in under a year if they did. But yeah, all I'm saying is I agree with you. :-P
@djoakley2099 Lmao, it's what they do best. Although, a lot of the time during comedy gigs, they have a habit of zooming in on the group who don't get it/find it funny. :-P
so what if it is used material. If it makes you laugh good. Thats why we buy and watch the DVD's again and again because the same jokes make us laugh. He is Fu****g brilliant. I love his delivery and he is hilarious.
grumpy old man comedy rocks! - john cleese, victor meldrew, hancock, alf garnett, dylan moran, and sean rock. lol. i do love sean lock. at times his humour is cruel - rather graphic sadistic abuse of animals, but always hilarious! his observations can be really pointed and waspish. he can be really imaginative too - the tie/sock gag was brilliant. lol. he's deliciously curmedgeoningly but still oddly child-like. love it!
I know this could sound disrespectful, but I love his comedy firstly because it reminds me of my favorite comedian, Bill Bailey. Which is understandable, taking in mind they're really good friends. Love the show, I hope Sean will do them more frequently.
not disrespectful at all - the man is complete genius!! Bill and Sean are the funniest guys on earth! i love Seans comedy because i'm so damn grumpy too that he really appeals to my sense of humour
who ever was talking about him using the same material ...wel yh :S
when they tour they go to different parts of the country and do the same gig over and over to people who havnt seen it you just like every band in the world does
You're entitled to your own opinion, but it's not against the law for comedians to reuse their material. Besides, this is his first proper stand-up DVD. He should use his best stuff.
@Matt1yu i saw ricky gevais in los angeles and he performed his show verbatim that was already out on dvd in britain. and had been for months if not a year. thats where i draw the line..... it was word for word. in seans case it makes sense to use some stuff over for this dvd, fair enough. but that shit with ricky was just ridiculous. even billy connolly will say the same joke a few times
@treytoshable That's a shame, I like him, but it doesn't surprise me, I've watched him tell the story of his mother's funeral at least 6 times, twice with Letterman.
@treytoshable I don't mind that but when i saw Frankie Boyle he didn't repeat stuff but he did bring up news stories which were like 1 or even 2 years old and spoke as if they were now. Russell howard was pretty good he just flew, much better than boyle
@AlexTolleey Now he is one of the few people who annoys me when he does that, especially since a lot of his jokes rely on 'shock' value... just isn't funny once it's been told once. Not sure if he repeats them across DVDs though. (Before I get someone yelling at me for saying Frankie Boyle is crap, I do think he is very good, but most of his material can't really be repeated).
@gazaboy20 Not to defeat your point, but I am yet to discover a single comedian that did not reuse old material when they were on Michael mcIntyre or live at the Apollo.
The ironic thing is that he's probably right - I can imagine people buying an anchor for their rabbit and believing that it really does love it. And rabbits can be aggressive little bastards at times... :@
Well, if no one knew it, the word would die out and be completely unused, so it's almost good that most people know its meaning. I had to look up "cuckold" though...
