I am so glad you did this. I think the style you have (twist out) is the style I have been looking for. You also have the same texture hair as mine. Thanks; my hair is short too. I just cut out all of the perm last week and I have some substantial growth.

Your hair might produce enough oils where any extra oil might make your hair to greases. So, you might check the products that you buy ingedient list and check for lite oils or the non heavy formula's. Or just stick with what is working for you -shea butter . Anyway your hair is

Looking great. You're hair is growing like crazy. Have you had any trims since your big chop? I've had 2 and I think that's put me behind on where I should be at as far as growth b/c stylist love chopping your hair off sometimes!

I've trimmed my ends only once about 2 months ago (4 months after my b/c). I did it myself because I'm afraid of stylists and their scissor-happy hands! :-) I'll probably do another trim if my hair starts getting too frizzy.

I used a method learned on YouTube. As you're putting twists in your hair, just trim the ends as you come to them. Worked well for me!

As for Qhemet, by then end of the day I realized I'll never use it again. Hated it. I guess that's what I get for straying from my belove shea butter! :)

Wow...thanks! And no...you shouldn't worry! Naturahl hair DEFINITELY grows! I've had more growth in these 6 months than I ever had in 6 months with a relaxer. My "boy" days are over. ;-)

I just loaded a video of my twist out tonight. I wish it only took me an hour to twist mine. I can't tell, but I think mine may be a tad bit longer than yours, but not by much.

Yep...it looks like your hair is a bit longer than mine. That one hour thing was a fluke! I haven't been able to do it in an hour since that one lucky day. :) Well, actually, I can do it in an hour but only after a day or so after the wet twist. Dry twists are quicker. Ah...hair. :)

I felt like you and Prettysunshyne too, but I did a twist out yesterday and think it came out pretty well even though I couldn't really twist all of the back. I kinda flat twisted the shortest part and it came out pretty good. Give it a try.

You're welcome! I was doing twist outs on my hair a few months ago. They were tiny (TINY!!) but I tried it anyway. I think they turned out okay back then.

As for Qhemet...it's official. I don't like it. It made my hair feel dry and heavy. Guess I'll be sticking with my tried and true shea butter!
