  • Its funny that all the reborn mom wannabes are getting butt hurt

  • i hope he realizes that ppl do this for a job for a hobby to play with! i dont get what is so wrong about these!

  • reborns are so amazing! get a life u stupid drphil i have a wholew nursery and get almost straigh A's im not crazy! u stupid people just dont understand!

  • @CAgirl4ever1 "Get a life dr phil" dint you say you have a whole new nursery haha talk about not having a life. How are they amazing? weirdo

  • I hate Dr. Phil I think he is "creepy".

  • I had a miscarriage but I'm not gonna go get a reborn doll! That's just crossing the line. Go adopt!!

  • Why did they blur out one of the dolls faces? I detect weirdness here.

  • Dr. Phil is an asshole, He can suck my dick when I grow one

  • i agree whit rchan09

  • Dr. phil sends a COMEDIAN? Seriously?

  • Dr Phil is an ass. Reborns are cute and an artform, not creepy.

  • this is fucked up, im sorry

  • hey theres alot of hard work that goes into these dolls dammit!! I like these dolls. I wish i could afford one myself@

  • Obviously, these people agreed to be on the show, knowing full well what they were getting into. And I think Dr. Phil was very respectful. He did not say that he thought it was wrong or crazy, he just said that he found it a bit creepy. It's his opinion and that's what people tune in to watch. If the "mommies" of the reborns didn't want to hear his opinion, they wouldn't have gone on the show.

  • I love dolls - I have five American Girl dolls (pre-Mattel) and I change them into different outfits going by the season. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking dolls or collecting dolls. However, if you're an adult woman and you're using a doll as a substitute for a real baby, you're longing for a human relationship with a non-human and I don't think that's psychologically healthy. It would be better to find a way to nurture real babies.

  • Its just like a little boy likes his toy trucks or a woman likes jewrely. We all are in love with a certain thing. We all collect something. There is nothing wrong with these women who make and anjoy these dolls. God put us on this earth to all be different and like different things. So....

  • Hey, I was hoping someone could answer this question for me if they see it. Why don't these women just adopt babies? There are so many real babies in the world that desperately need a loving home, why would you instead dedicate all that time and care and money to a doll? Is it because they grow up? If so, why not just adopt another baby? I keep hearing "I loved being a mother," not necessarily "I love babies." So it seemed to me like adopting would be a really wonderful option for all involved.

  • i hate dr phil

  • It's only creepy when people pretend they're real! But I think they're beautiful! I'm getting one tomorrow :)

  • I would have/make them if I was able. You can sell them just like other toys. LEAVE ADULT REBORN LOVERS ALONE. ITS ART. Worry more about these parents who let their kids over 10 have them. Teen moms in the making.

  • they are lovly how could anyone say that they are horrible ! ! ! !

  • I could have sworn I saw the one in pink around the 4min mark move...

  • sooooo weird!

  • nothing is wrong with reborns we like babies so we collect dolls and guys collect video games cause they like them whats the difference?????????

  • hey dr.phil you know what i think is weird?? Your bald peanut shaped head and big nose if you don't like it why bother getting involved thats just my opinion

  • I only want 1 I MIGHT be able to get on for my birthday

  • creepy....... weird!!!

  • It's not an obsession! I have two- I would like more but i stop myself because I don't want to have too many.

  • im eating and all i can think about is dead babies

  • LoooL I'm 20 and seriously "dr.phil is being an ass right now " why ?! Well this dolls they help people , they help them emotionally and I guess physically !!! What is wrong with having a baby doll when you get old and older uh ?! Dr.phil is not because you like to talk your problems that others do like to tell a psychologist what they feel cus maybe they just dot know how to ok and you should know that as a "professional" T_T dolls are just dolls ok is like when guys name their car ?! How come

  • @Smiling0Nena amen!! someone who gets it i may only be 15 but i've been through alot in life and my 2 dolls help me more than any human on this planet i'm not obsessed they simply help heal

  • @rebornmommyolivia it is not "weird" to collect the dolls themselves but when people talk about waking them up putting them down for a nap buying diapers and feeding them calling themselves "mommy" thats very unhealthy and "weird".. if you have such problems that you think they help maybe you need a therapist or somthign a fake doll is not going ot fix that it's really really unhealthy YOU ARE NOT A MOMMY..

  • @rebornmommyolivia it actually pisses me off that you call yourself mommy to this FAKE doll you DID NOT go threww 9 months of pregnancy YOU DID NOT go threw labour and GIVING BIRTH you did not get up every hour to feed a REAL baby SO GO GET SOME HELP CAUSE YO HAVE ALOT MORE PROBLEMS THAN A FAKE STPUID DOLL IS GOING TO FIX

  • I used to own a reborn doll, when i was about 11... but she got lost among so many moves... i miss her ):

  • He's not too bright. How do they think dolls are made anyway?

  • Dr.Phil's an angry hick fat guy. He treats EVERYONE on his show like shit, and hes a close-minded conservative fuck-head. He can eat a dick...

  • WTF DR.PHIL! I treat them like they are real. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.!

  • Those babies are cute. What is dr. Phil talking about?! :-)

  • these are amazing and it is not weird to reborn i think it is natural......faerylandsquinevere is right

  • ...volunteer work might help...women with children are needing help in every kind of shelter there is...energy spent on comforting and nurturing living children and mothers in need...be a volunteer nanny for the ill...something real...

  • He is shallow man of pop psychology.

  • i have one.

  • tht is so rude to judge them its not an obession

  • I really want one! I love babies but I'm WAY too young to have my own.

  • If a reborn baby can bring comfort or enjoyment for whatever reason, then more power to you. I have a reborn doll it's not as realistic looking as I want it to be. Well I can't have more children right now do to health issues. I hold her sometimes. She gives me peace. People judge me all the time, my wardrobe, my lifestyle, my money, my looks, people need to get a life and stop judging others.

  • they eyes dont look right - most babies have blue eyes not brown.

  • @SuperTugg thats not always true i have black skin and my eyes were brown

  • Omg im so excited i getting oene in 2 weeks

  • I Have One. She is soooooo cute :D

  • They need to relax. It's not affecting anybody else in any way and the people who buy them seem happy. Let them be.

"When you judge someone, you don't define them, you define yourself."

  • I dont think there is anything wrong with it, if its her hobby, let her do it. end of story

  • So it's okay to give us dolls that look real as little girls. Let us play mommy and obsess over them as if they are our own. I had a doll that used its little diapers and I fed it. One had water to make it feel real. But this is somehow insane or creepy. For those who pass judgment on these women, ask yourself if it's really all that weird. And I think that the whole reborn therapy for Alzheimer patients is BRILLIANT. I see nothing wrong, there are all kinds of hobbies, this one seems harmless..

  • I agree with Dr Phil, it is really creepy

  • That women in blue is a bitc*. I bet she was so nice and friendly at the house, and then she pretty much screwed them over when she got on the show.

  • @kimpeater1 You know she did. Most people make fun of things they don't understand. She's a bully.

  • I like the sleeping infants! :)

  • Wow Let Her Do What she wants to do Damn..!

  • @Mommi2Angels I hope you are not a "mommi2angels" with that language, just awful

  • Dr.Phil doesn't understand that they could be used for women who can't have children or for people with Alzhiemers. I think it is rude. He doesn't understand that it's a BEAUTIFUL work of art that is helpful to society.

  • Comment removed

  • @RebornFaith131415 If they can't have children then adopt, there are thousands of children who need loving homes

  • What an asshole.

  • I do not have a reborn doll, but am interested in it. I find him completely insulting. Being who he is, I thought he would have thought differently. These can be completely beneficial and used as therapy or comfort.

  • Whoever thinks that reborns are creepy or stupid, Then F U, They have been used as therapy tools and they are adorable. That psychologist lady is a effin bitch

  • Comment removed

  • These things are creepy. Some of them have really ugly troll like faces too. I never really liked baby dolls or babies in general though. So maybe I don't get the appeal. Maybe some people think the trollish ones are cute. Dr. Phil and his correspondent are being kind of douchey about it though.

  • dolls have been made for thousands of years.. just because they're more similar to real babies doesn't make it any more strange than owning a cabbage patch doll.

some people seek out others to call crazy because they thrive on it. how ridiculous.

I collect old cameras.. I suppose if they had faces I'd be insane.

  • P.S. Dr.Phil is a douche.

  • Anyone else think that it's odd that he sends a comedian to do "fieldstudy"...? Why a comedian...?

  • how is it different to having any other art collection?

  • Dr. Phil is just plain mean!

  • omg i want one:( there soo much money maybe someday i will buy one they are sooo adorable and real:p

  • I'm so excited to get a reborn! I really want a girl that has her eyes closed. I think that would be ADORABLE!

  • they're so cute!

  • Docter Phill, No offence but reborns are not creepy! I am a reborner and u just don't understand till u make 1 and then hold it I'm 11 and I love reborning and always will please go back to paying attention to important things that need help like drug addicts! thanks

    ~Jilly =]

  • That woman who was there was a total bitch. She has this whole "I'm soo much better then these crazy chicks" attitude. Phil is just an ass. But really Stephanie needs to pull that stick out of her ass. She was completely making fun of those women. So they have an extensive doll collection and make money off them. No reason to be a stuck up ass about it

  • sick fucks , if they were men theyd proll be psycho murderes

  • He's so rude to people sometimes. People often use them to get over a still born or a lost child. I think it's good therapy.

  • These things could help Alzhiemers patients!

  • @mgvideos1000 The do. It's called reborning therapy.

  • @rebornmom123 that's awesome!

  • @mgvideos1000 yeah ikr

  • @mgvideos1000 They do. It's called reborning therapy.

  • @mgvideos1000 ive seen it help them.

  • Yea but this isnt really obsession she is a dollmaker, it is clearly a hobby and she enjoys making them and takes pride in what she has made. On theire "doll day" they are all making dolls together. Not much different then them all coming over knitting scarves, baking cakes painting model airplanes, swaping recipies and patterns and having fun doing it

  • I have a reborn.. i take it out in public... im 11. There is no problem with tht

  • I have one reborn. they are a lot of fun to play with. im 11, none of my friends know that i love to play and take care of them, but i love it!!! I grew up with just me, so i always longed for a brother or sister, but then i found myself loving babies, and now it's reborns. now you have to say they are kind of cute!!!

  • How judgemental! its a collection and its something for people to admire and love. its no different. its a HOBBY. she COLLECTS them. I hate phil.

  • wow he is a no it all.

  • Dr. Phil is so judgmental. Anyone besides me ever notice that?

  • @faerylandsguinevere i notice it every time he opens his mouth.Btw, he's not a psychiatrist. He has a Phd in Psychology. Therefore, he should only use his "Dr" title in professional settings. I don't know about you, but I don't see a syndicated TV program as a legitimate professional setting. He hired a comedian to do his field work, after all.

  • @faerylandsguinevere : of course, he's a douche tool. His attitude is for ratings.

  • @faerylandsguinevere he can be and that's only his opinion. that doesn't mean we have to listen to his opinions. i have a reborn doll. if i could afford, i would buy more. they are so cute.

  • @faerylandsguinevere Yes SO TRUE

  • um your never to old to play with dolls lol my grandmother is 92 & she is a huge doll collector & she plays with them at night!!!

  • heey the reborns! no is a obseccion!! I LOVE THE REBORNSS!! i not belive the a stephany make this segment!! i not beliivee!! (i a Stephany I LOVE THE REBORNSS! )

  • the reborns no iss the obseciion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the person coleccion reborns is for love and beautifur!! I LOVE THE REBORNS!! IS NO HAVEE OBSECCION!

  • LOL i so need to get my mom one of these. her maternal clock when it comes to babies is driving me nuts, maybe it will get her off my back to have her some grandchildren :P

  • I think that they should be foster parents because they love children so much and there are so many that would just love to get all of that attention and love from those women.

  • i have 3 of these. Im 17. Got my first when i turned 8. I saved up all my birthday money to buy them. I obviously know there not real. Im not stupid. They are just something to admire. i use to play with them allll the time when i was little. Now they are just fun to have and i love them.

  • money collection is socially acceptable

  • but swhat if a kid has one is it crazy i love them and your crazy

  • A little odd, but those ladies seem pretty nice. I don't really have a problem with it. But im sure child molesters are all over those..

  • IM GETTING MY FIRST ONE TODAY!!!

  • Dr. Phil is a redneck close minded douche, I mean what did everyone expect his reaction to be other than one of a retard.

  • I hate the condescending attitude that the entire studio takes on while discussing the subject of women collecting reborns especially Stephanie and Dr Phil. It's not like they're hurting anybody with it so what the fuck's the need to point and laugh ?

  • One of these in a woman's house? A bit wacky, but OK, whatever.

    20 of them? Not OK.

Think of all that money spent on a fake baby that she could have donated to charity or helped a REAL baby with. That's what is sad, babies around the world are starving and these women are spending fortunes on hunks of plastic.

  • @artistkeith3 You have only a slight point. They aren't doing this to hurt anyone. They know that these are only dolls, and nothing more. they can have as many as they want. And anyway, why do YOU care!?! Not YOU'RE life, so butt out!!! and stop calling these people weird, just because they like babies, and they have these reborns because they know they'll have them forever really, and theres NOTHING wrong with that. Also, THEY SELL THEM!!! IN A WAY THIS IS A JOB!!

  • @Twilight101cp With all due respect, you have avoided answering my main point: The money that could be helping others (including REAL babies) instead of indulging themselves in this admittedly odd and horribly expensive hobby. What has happened to charity in this world? People are starving everywhere, babies are dying. You'd think if these women REALLY cared about babies they'd be doing something about that instead. It's rather pathetic that anyone would defend them.

  • gosh these show hosts have like no respect...

    thumbs down.

    whats wrong with recreating dolls?

  • i guess this lady doesnt realize that all dolls not matter if they are reborns or not start out as body parts then they are put together

  • weird how dr phil never does this stuff about those breyer horses, they are the same idea, hand designed and painted the only difference is they are horses

the art of reborns is about the technique, time and effort put into this hobby these dolls are used for therapy aswell but dr phil seems to think its creepy, well so are people that find comfort in their pets and other items but whatever thats my opinion who am i to judge

  • whats creepy about it. its just people that love dolls im 12 and i havent grown out of plsying with dolls

  • @Landjsmamma Exactly...... im a year younger than you and i find none of this creepy. I'd think id be a little embarrassing to go out in public, but otherwise.. it's a hobby. Just like knitting. Are those people weird because they like knitting?

  • umm thre are alot of pepole who put dipars on there reborn u BRAT

  • that's some creepy shit.

  • I have a room dedicated to my cats. Their litter, toys, and supplies are kept in there. Does that mean I'm obsessed with my cats and psychotic? No. So why is it so different for this woman to have a room for her dolls?

  • The dolls are beautiful and it takes a lot of time, skill, and some talent to make them. It's not much different than a group of women getting together to make quilts, or any other craft. Rooting the hair and can be tedious. Having others around makes it a social activity. Doll collecting is a very popular hobby, just like train collecting - the kind where trains and track, scenery, et al are minutely designed. Would Dr Phil treat model train enthusiasts as if they are nuts?

  • @DBHuntington yeah their like works of art my mon has reborns so their about our house ones found its way into my room lol id love to learn the skill of making these dolls and sell them on ebay they cost from £150 to £600 in uk money so id love to make it my living and the dolls thats round the doll makers house is to show custmors how they look and feel [sorry about spelling]

  • And this is the part of the basement where I kill the children and capture their souls to put them in the dolls...

  • Phil has a habit of always sounding like a douchebag.

  • That lady who is grossed out over the doll parts in the cabinet--well how does she think dolls start out?? Dolls are not just suddenly "made"; they don't just "appear" as whole pieces (well most of them don't, anyway). But dolls, whether cheap play dolls for little kids, or expensive collector's items, start out as parts (head, torso, limbs) that have to be put together.

  • Dr. Phil is a biased show, even if they try to make it LOOK objective. I don't really have an opinion on these dolls. Just stumbled on them today, and think they are rather bizarre. Beyond that, the British documentary I on this was completely different. Not so judgy and gimmicky.

  • @smaakaker Thats because Dr.Phill show is based.... on Phill.... not the "problem" or actual issue of the people making the show. As long as Phill is in there looking like the usuall asshole, its all that mathers.

  • As a hobby, no problem, it's when they change their diapers and push them in a stroller that makes me wonder..........

  • i have two and im 17!!!!

  • i have one im getting another im 11

  • most of the dolls are for little kids that love babies like me

i wish i could afford it but unfortunatly the price is too high

so all u that say its weird its no

  • why doesnt doctor phil go an attack taxidermis who kill animals for no stupid reason now im a hunter and we dont kill just for fun we hunt for food and who can blame us in this economy but this is not a bad habit if you go insane and dont know these are dolls then yea there is something wrong but come on it our hobby so leave us alone

  • I getting a reborn and i'm not crazy i'm 16

  • man...that is wicked scary...and im not even done with 2 mins of watching this before posting this

  • @poppydephary Why do you think this is "scary"? Doll collecting is fun and healthy.

  • @cindybin2001

the closest thing to dolls ive ever got to is action figures (yes im a guy)

well these are far too realistic, id go so far as call it an art, but ive this fear they'd just jump up and come to life

  • How is this weird? I mean, if it's an unhealthy obsession, yeah it's a problem. But nothing seems to be wrong with these women.

It's a HOBBY. It's not hurting anyone. They enjoy creating the dolls and I say more power to them.

  • If I had a human baby that looked like one of these freaky things, I'd shoot it!

  • @MissLeigh78 no you wouldn't. You'd love your child and she/he would be beautiful in your eyes.

  • While I do respect the artists for their obvious talent and attention to detail, I can't STAND some of the crazy obsessive owners. Also, it's incredibly psychologically damaging in some cases. I know a woman who lost her child... she had a doll made in her dead daughter's image (and had it made sickly looking, too) and named it after her. Now she carries it around with her everywhere like a real child... and we're going on, like, two years of this now. So much for the grieving process.

  • @Psychchick1 the woman who lost her child is, obviously, not coping with the grieving process in a healthy manner. This does not mean that people who make dolls that look surprisingly accurate are unwell.

  • DrPhil: They're creepy [dollmakers].

    Me: No, *you're* creepy.

  • i love freedom... but freedom should come with limitations...all limits OR all freedom..never ends well...

  • Wow, so many people who firmly support this craft. I personally don't understand it, but I guess to each his (or her) own. However, once a person gets attached to an object, such as a reborn doll, it makes others question their mental and emotional state. I see real dolls and reborn dolls as being on the same level. Though both are used for obviously different reasons... the emotional attachment some people have to them is horribly troubling to people who don't have the same issues.

  • hey I have to babies Aubrey Iris and Alexis Hope and they are amazing

  • It's one thing to collect them and make them (because they ARE art), but the women who are actually using them as real babies. Walking them and taking them out and stuff, to get the attention, that is just wrong and creepy!

  • It's not a big deal. The way the woman and Dr. Phil are acting, you'd think these dolls were the product of a taxidermy.

  • i don't think it's that creepy...I mean I wouldn't do it but it seems to be a hobby she enjoys.

  • I think that's cute! I wouldn't go crazy like some of these people but I would get one or two and I could trick people that I am babysitting and they would be like cute baby!

  • i think more studies need to be done. i support this very much. when it comes to women and babies, theres this natural instinct/bond/relaxation. this doll tricks the mind.....hence, can one day cure depression and empty nest syndrom....u see those girls on maury tht really want a baby and theyre like 14 yrs old.....maybe they have an imbalance in the brain....lets not forget we are animals. this is a simple cure tht women have created forthemselves and its being looked down by men and youth

  • what is more creepy is eating disorders, implants, viagra, penis enlargments, prozac for kids, meds for ADD, electrical sex toys, breast arnt for beast feeding but for men to look at......get my point...... so dnt judge, cuz you urself has become the freak.....these women are self medicating in a natural human way. and it actually works!!!!!!

  • LOL This is the equivalent of someone collecting toy cars and then taking it everywhere they go and playing with it in public. Weird, and sad.

  • dr. phil.... there doll colectorrsss!!!! stop pulling them down;.. its wat they like to do. no biggie. so get over it. you and ur little comiediann chick

  • Phil is an idiot douchebag.

They ARE DOLLMAKERS idiot. They don't play with dolls. Personally I'd rather have a doll that looked real when I was a kid = the doll looks are far creepier. Phil and that "comedian" are idiots.

  • @BarmaidAz

    i agree

  • @BarmaidAz I know, Phill is just a plain douchebag. You know whats actually REALLY creepy and messed up? A "doctor" who uses people in distress and leeches of those peoples problems to make a show and purpously tries to create drama and sometimes humiliating those people while living off them. Now thats fucked up! Get a real job Phill, youd be more productive to society if you were serving Combos at Mcdonalds.

  • @BarmaidAz AMEN!!!!!!!

  • i would say....FUCK U PHIL lolz i hate that gay fuck

  • its not creepy, its just sad. look at them all having a tea party for dolls...come on, women, get some dignity and see a psychologist because its not right.

  • They weren't having a teaparty, they were MAKING DOLLS. It's ART. God Phil and his viewers are such morons. I bet they're all FOX news watchers.

You want creepy, look up autopsy babies. Those ROCK. And creepy aint the half of it.

  • its still sad :) and i dont get fox because i live in england.

but yes, 'doctor' phil is a boob.

  • 4 all the people that judge-

Why don't you worry about your own life instead of theirs if its really that creepy, why are you watching a video about it ANYWAY??????

  • Probably because we are worried about the state of Humanity!!!???

  • because weird stuff intrigues people.

  • i never liked dr. phil. hes so judgemental. as if hes so perfect himself.

  • why dont u shut up i have a reborn and she goes out with me when i go out and everyone thinks she is real even when she is dressed up as a boy anyone that says u are nuts if u take them out are gut less

  • @tphillpot Creepy.. I stopped taking out dolls with me when I was 7...

  • Good 4 u

  • Its just kind of strange because they are inanimate figures, made of non-human materials, and yet - people treat them like little humans. There seems to be a sort of affection-replacement thing going on, like when some people have cats and dogs to replace human affection...it is worrying for someone who doesn't follow this trend. No judgment, just worry...

  • You take them out to get attention.

  • I get the whole art form thing but unless your making them to sell they are just DUST COLLECTORS. I mean its like having a tacky but cute novelty item. What the heck do you do with it? If people want to waste their money on dolls that cost hundreds may I suggest giving the money to charity? It would do someone alot of good than another doll or Gucci purse gathering dust in your closet.
