Like Soras "storm rider name is Icarus" Ikki sounds like Icarus a little and they are always making refrences to greek mythology. Also this is a spoiler but not really big but this character introduced in the manga named and aeon clock explain Rix in greek means King... but your connections are accurate never though of it like that

how many people here have migrated to the manga after watching the anime or visa vera because if you like the anime, the manga in another world, if you like the idea of air gear or the characters, read the manga. And if you already read the manga, what are your thoughts on it in comparison to the anime, and do you think the anime did justice to the manga. In my opinion, it did ok but would have been better if it didn't end when the story just started to get good.

@senjutsunaruto The reason why most people migrate the manga after they watch the anime is because unlike the anime, air gear is still an ongoing series in the manga. You say that the story ended when it just started to get good, but for the manga readers of air gear, the story still continues for them(and ME!! LOL).

@jmeny14 the ova coming out soon and the one schedueled for release in march could be a test to see if air gear is still popular before the anime company makes a full fledged season, and because there a different company they might redo the series from beginning and try to follow the manga more closely, but who really knows whats going on except for oh Great and the company producing the ova's

@Charownz its a trend for japanese anime producing companies these days to release ova's to test the waters before staking alot of money on an anime that might not be popular. So all we can do is hope that the ova's get good reception from the japanese fans, the manga continues to do well, and then can we expect to see an anime. But if there is one in production, we're most likely going to see it until the next fall anime season or even two years from now. So its still going to be a long wait.

Yes, it might be impossible to fly across buildings, but hell, motorized skates with shock absorbers so you can land from major heights? You can still reach highs speeds and everything. It would be beyond awesome, even if it's dangerous. Hell, people need to learn to wear protective gear, then they won't kill themselves. Also, Air Trecks actually can be created. Some lazy inventors need to get off their lazy asses and make 'em!
