@ACEM4VER1CK Sorry people but the next game is called Ace Combat: Assault Horizon and will be using real fighter jets that are currently being used by today's military and is based in real world locations like Iraq and Afghanistan. So I don't think that jets like the Nosferatu or the Wyvern (which is a major let down cuz the Wyvern was my #1 favorite in Ace Combat Zero) will make it into the game.

For those of you curious this track comes off of the Ace Combat Zero CD set. Specifically, Disk 2, track 19, title Zero done by Keiki Kobayashi. Nice and perfect song for one of the best air combat anime ever made. ^_^

well technically, the next "Ace Combat" game after ACX2 isn't really Ace Combat. I forget the name, but it'll be a WW2-style air combat game. And it'll be a Wii exclusive. Definitely Namco though.

I couldn't agree more with those who want to see the return of fighters like the Crusader, Phantom,Fishbed, Skyhawk and others in the next Ace Combat. After watching the original Area 88 and the remake how I wish many of those aircraft could have been in AC6. Oh how much I'd like to have seen those aircraft and got use them in that game.

Hope the next AC game brings back vintage fighters. . .like the A-4, F-4, F-8, MiG-21 and others. . . The aircraft selection in AC6 was a bit of a flop- small choice and all modern. Default plane was a F-16, sheesh. Too easy.

Hell, the PSP version was better- Could fly an old Saab Viggen. . .

If you like Cold War era airplanes try the "Strike Fighters/Wings over" games for PC. You get to fly from 1959 up to 1982, through Vietnam and a hipothetical conflict in Europe between NATO and Warsaw Pact.

Also you can download tons of airplanes and campaigns (ficticious and realistic) extending the timespan and airplanes avaliable.

I really like to fly an F-4 over Vietnam, every mission over Saigon is a hell with those damn sam sites plus the migs lurking around.

Well, Ace Combat 2 had the Crusader in it but it was flown by only the Usean Rebel Force (enemy force) in the 1998 Usean Coup d'Etat.

I wish there was an AC game set in the technological era of the Vietnam war. (so like, the most advanced plane would be the F4, or maybe the F15 or F14 prototype, since they were both in development around then.) It would be cool to fly as a MiG-17, they're supposed to be WAAAY more maneuverable than most other US planes they came up against. (except for maybe the A4 skyhawk, they're about the same in performance I think.)

F-4 was a flying brick. It's tactic was to use missiles. US plane were worse than Russians during that time. However, the F-5 light fighter than came out after that is a legend. It's training model is T-38. Now that's a real light fighter. Very capable. Pwns all plane at that era.
