Mike said, in the book about Genesis' history ("Chapter and Verse") that starting around 1997 or so, the industry just flat out changed and bands like these just stopped getting airplay the instance Britney Spears and the like showed up. A horrible transition in music history.

sad thing is that paul young is dead, RIP, paul carrack is solo and mike rutherford thinks mike and mechanics has had enough, i'm sure these guys could have gone on and on with their talent

When I opened this just now, I was wond'ring how the heck this only had 385 views. Then I saw it had only just been uploaded on 11/06/11. Dunno why the mods here deleted the old upload of the official vid. I can't remember, but I think the former upload had over 100K views.

How this song did not make #1 all around is totally beyond me, it's truly an unforgettable song and it really makes you think about stuff. And love the video.
