  • stick to pommy food

  • Well that's the first time I've seen Gordon cook something that someone didn't like. Either that or perhaps he cooked something for somebody but they just pretended it tasted good. Surprised he put this on TV but I guess Gordon takes the good and the bad.

  • 2:51 it doesn't look very tasty

  • Wow... It wasn't necessary for that facial expression from that Thai chef, must have been way below his standards lol...

  • ITS RAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • gordon failed to impress

  • All the guy said was it wasn't Pad Thai, but you can bet it tasted great no matter what it was.

  • aw thats what you get for makin fun of his height

  • where i worked they made pad thai with chicken not prawns

  • @EeyorePigletBff It's usually with chicken or tofu where I've seen it.

  • @EeyorePigletBff You can have it with either... personally I like having it with both prawns and chicken.

  • He made a good dish but it just isn't authentic pad tai.

  • @Juliuscaesar1199 cuz he ain't from thailand?

  • @mesahusa @Juliuscaesar1199 Nationality shouldn't even be relevance. I think, like most chef I knew, he taste the real Pad Thai then try to make it his way adjusting it to his own taste. That why he said it's not to bad, but it's still not Pad Thai. One of my friend cook great Pad Thai and he cant even speak our language :)

  • 0:48 changdelibilibong how are you? lol :D

  • 0:48 changdelibong how are you?

  • Seeing as how the Buddha died when he ate a rotten mushroom that was given to him at a meal and didn't say anything as a sign of respect to the guy trying to feed him, I doubt the Buddhist monks would be to harsh on Gordon's dish.

  • Wait they are serving meat to Buddhist monks? To my knowledge Buddhist's are strict vegetarians.

  • @Toshibasan Depends on the school of Buddhism you're referring to. the Theravada school has a loop-hole in it that allows the consumption of some meats.

  • I think he missed the salty. LOL

  • 3:06 what a cursing face lolz

  • schuuuulaats

  • haha fuck you thats shit lol

  • hehe, honest chef is honest. Next, he learned something, including respect. hehe

  • what happened next??? part 2 maybe? i would love to see how Gordon's action after that comment

  • Click 3:10 for the reaction =)))

  • I think its awesome that Gordon has the humilty to take the criticism and the Balls to show it on tv and put it on youtube.

Can you name ANY other chef that would put something one tv where someone else thought thier food was SHIT?!?!

  • @oopopp he didnt put it on youtube

  • @NITECOREPD ya he did. The uploader is the Fword

  • @oopopp jamie oliver, anthony bourdain, bob blumer...just off the top of my head. Ramsay is an entertainer, just like everyone else on television

  • Comment removed

  • @oopopp apparently the monks liked it. >:D

  • hahaha

  • lol

  • the monks are delusional fucks that deserve to starve to death

  • @TheConzArtist Why?

  • @TheConzArtist WHAT?!

  • how the hell is tamarind an extra... thats wat makes pad thai pad thai

  • @tonypie28 try to make asian style noodle or dim sum or prepare soup base for the broth on your own, see how badly you make it compare to how asian grill steak. Don't say it's not much harder until you try it.

  • @thienphucnt not to mention the speed and volume of typical food asian food... u get much better asian food for the price you pay for fish and chips... and you get really good asian food when you go high end as well... much more exciting and refined

  • 03:10

  • Dunno if he didn't like it as a dish or as a pad thai.. However, that looks delicious..

  • oh come on he didn't say he didn't like it ( i think) he only said that that was not a Pad Thai...

  • Asian food is much much harder to make than Western food. Hands down, no arguement.

  • @OnRockIT Asian food is not " much harder " to make than western food at all, try making a Beef wellington perfect so that the meat is pink and the pastry at the bottom is not soggy, that is pretty hard or perhaps making a Lobster thermidor? From watching and eating asian food i believe asian food is all in the preperation, its quick clean and normally quite healthy.

  • @tonypie28 obviously uve never eaten truely authentic, refined asian food from high end asian restaurants

  • @holkn As a matter of fact i have eaten refined asian food from high end asian restaurants, and i have eaten street food through out asia.Obviously YOU'VE never eaten any refined asian food at high end asian restaurants.

  • Pad Thai is NOT Thai's national dish.

  • @Millnatapol

no it's not a main food of thai people.

pad thai is tourists food! hahaha

same as stir fried chicken with cashew nuts.

bot taste like chinese foods.. not spicy ..

    like a kid foods.

  • Finally somebody that told Gordon.. "WTF you think you cooking here, Get it in the BIN and start again DONKEY" (but of course humbly)

  • tough cookie.

  • Gordon: "How is it..?"

    Thai-guy: *faceat* 3:11

Gordon: "Oh no... Look at that face..!"

    BWWWWHAHAHAHA!!! xD

  • LOL the thai guy's reaction is absolutely priceless!

  • shoelace! LOL!!!

  • the monks eat meat/seafood??

  • @thejuliez

There are a different type of monks in the world,

    chinese monks not eat meat,

thai monks must eat what people offer to them.

  • Gordon - PWNED. Bout fucking time

  • Comment removed

  • its not a classic, its a simple dish

  • it might have not been pad thai but it lookded damn delicious

  • ya the man chef!!!!! i have never seen any1 reject gordon ramsay!!!

  • @taison77 Thanks for the clarification.

  • LOL

  • Well good that everyone isn´t kissing up for Gordon in TV :P but daeemN! that looked delicious

  • I think his pad thai lacked vegtables !! I have eaten it many times in Thailand and loved it but his !!

  • "what do you want to know from me? Ask me"

    "we-ehm em...how is it?"

"...........hmh" (nose flares up) LOL Priceless face reaction!! hahahaha

  • I thought Buddhist monks are vegans and they don't eat meat/fish/shrimp.

  • @giahdoan Nah, the monks in Thailand can eat anything. They're just not allowed to cook nor consume any stimulants/alcohol. This test wasn't fair as it's a sin for Thai monks to decline food as they 'eat to live', so they don't really care what the food taste like.

  • i love how he told it straight!

  • OMG...that's funny as hell. Someone actually telling Ramsay he screwed up....lmao.

  • @hightechjunkieva If Ramsay was asian that pad thai would have probably been fucking delicious.

  • Monks eat prawn and egg?

  • @kakakio Thai monk can eat anything. Dont know about others.

  • lol hold 5

  • 3:04 - 3:06 and pause at 3:11 lmao

  • Ramsay mistake...he need to learn Thai Cuisine

  • LOL @Changs reaction

    ahahahahhahalolololol

  • Respect 4 gordon!

  • It's far from pad thai i eat in my country

  • i am a thai, and i feel so proud seeing gordon cook thai food

  • what do u want to know from me? ask me!

    well.. er-erm how is it?

    huhhh!?!?

    lol

  • @sardnhi-can you tell me what goes into an authentic thai pad thai?i,ve never eaten it before.

  • ha gordan ramsay got OWNED.ha ha

  • he only sprinkled peanuts on it? :[] not correct. XD lol

  • tamarind paste?? did he mean tamarind sauce?. My Grandma padtai recipe is also included tamarind sauce. ps.i'm thai

  • 2:13 no way tamarind paste is an extra

  • 3:07 lol

  • lol thats not how ya make phad thai... gordons a good kitchen manager and of course a good cook but no one on the planet can get all the nuances of cooking right...

  • lol. Gordon obviously wants him to say its the best he's ever eaten.

    His response...WTF is this?!?

  • pad thai in the west is different from the pad thai in thailand

  • @ultimatesly Then it's not really pad thai then is it?

  • @chefkoo it is to us, but not to the natives

  • @ultimatesly Every food thats not from their origin place isn't truely their food.

  • @TheBlessedbabi i guess thats why only america can screw up food so badly with examples like fast food and mcdonalds in other countries
