  • I personally consider Mozarts Requiem to be the pinnacle of classical composition.

  • "Observe Lord Burley. I am married...to England."

  • The end is the best part of the introitus...OMG :o

  • Who owns the rights to this song? Could this be re-used for a student production?

  • @NoFrillsFilm Im pretty sure all classical pieces are public domain, but I could be wrong.

  • @Tkelunchbox210

Use of the music is permitted. However, one still needs permission from the record label/artists involved.

  • At 1:38 it sounded to me very similar to the "send her victorious..." part of the british anthem? Just a bit lower... and the second line after that one seemed just the same as "happy and glorious". Am I correct? Does anyone agree?

  • @dancingcedar may the dear bastard burn in the hottest pit of hell

  • So beautiful!

  • This song gives me always the urge to cry. For the beauty of music.

  • prima di morire ci a lasciato incompiuta questa composizione sacra.. cosi che tutti possano avvicinarsi a Dio, ben 220 anni fa.. Indicibile

  • This my friends is the closest to god I ever got. My omages

  • Mamamia!! che musica per le orecchie! How wonderful is that music for he ears! Quel douce musique aux oreilles!

  • Eternal rest give unto them, O Lord

And let perpetual light shine upon them

A hymn, O God, becometh Thee in Zion

And a vow shall be paid to thee in Jerusalem

    Hear my prayer

All flesh shall come before you

  • Of course, God will come to the fucking rescue, after we die. And why not give the jews their country back?

Dudes, it's official. We are so dumb that fitty of old times seems like heaven.

  • This is George Romero's The Sleep of the Living Dead. Lux perpetua - VH1. Shine upon them - don't touch that remote.

All the living dead like single body of brainwashed meat, not rioting like chipmunks but getting peace every day from popcorn culture by the buck, receiving it after request from to the lord, in his eternal glory filling his factories with their flesh.

The oldies cooked our fate well and long.

  • What font are the lyrics in this video? Thanks!

  • i had to sing the entire requiem for choir in high school ... i loved it! i miss it. so every so often i listen to it. so beautiful!

  • I first heard this piece in a BBC documentary called "Nazi: A Warning from History". I never knew why the producers used Introitus, other than it's beautiful and emotional melody. After reading the translation, I now realize why, it's about the Jewish desire for a homeland.

The Wandering Jew has his Holy Sanctuary.... It took 6 million Jewish lives... but they now have a place they call home...

"let Jerusalem's light always shine bright... in remembrance."

  • @dvsxavier Not really. This piece is the introitus (read: intro piece) of Mozart's Requiem, a composition performed at Christian death ceremonials called... well, requiem. Each requiem has the same or similar liturgical structure (one exception may be John Rutter's Requiem for example) which are set to (as far as I remember) certain biblical verses. It is purely Christian (catholic). And you know, the catholic church doesn't have that much of a great history with Judaism...

  • So beautiful, I feel blessed to have sung this while i was in high school. One of the most memorable performances of my life. And even 4 years later I still feel the chill I had originally while learning to perform this wonderful masterwork.

  • Sublime, just like the rest of this piece.

  • I have listened to Requiem for twenty five years.I bought the original cassette tape from a bargain bin and remember it had Wilma Lipp as one of the singers.I put it on my walkman and walked around Melbourne in the rain. How magical and tears came to my eyes and goosebumps to my spine.I always wondered what the words meant and looked them up Looking at this it shows what a beautiful language and a promise that the person would find everlasting Peace in the light.Thank you for this beautiful video

  • @flownheart06 It's a Requiem, not a symphony and not a song. You can also call it an "orchestral piece".

  • Thank you for a beautiful piece...nice drawings too!

  • lsmith0555@yahoo.com. Please write

me if you would consider giving permission for me to use your Images in worship at my church when my choir sings Mozart Requiem

  • this song will forever give me chills!

  • what do those eyes stand for ??

  • this right here is biblical

  • we had to attend a concert of this, because of our music lesson in school. At first many complained, but in the end I guess most of us liked it very much, me too ;D

  • I need the whole Requiem, I have one month to learn :S

  • Thankyou very much for uploading, tranclateing and everything you did for us.

  • @hryzunik ok thanks :) lol my name means flesh, expensive and honey :P

  • @catjoox31 Caro is used to refer to someone as sweet or dear, you know like in the beginning of a letter, Caro Paulo, etc. It does not mean flesh, since flesh is carne in Italian.

  • @Jefficusmagnus "Caro" does mean "dear" in Italian, and "carne" does mean flesh or meat, but this is not Italian: it's Latin. Whooooooooooole different story.

  • @cassandra605 My bad, you're right in Latin caro means flesh. Although Caro as a name probably refers to dear (don't want to think that anyone would call his son "flesh" :O)

  • nice vid but one question.. what does the word Caro mean in this language??

my name is Caro so i'd like to know :P

  • @catjoox31 In Latin caro means flesh, it refers to the physical/bodily aspect of humans, the word "carnal" comes from it.

  • @hryzunik Don´t worry Caro, that´s sexy xDDD

  • @hryzunik thank you :D

  • @catjoox31 In Italian, Caro means "precious", or "of great value". I think your name might refer more to that than to flesh ;)

  • @catjoox31 lol you're name means flesh. :P

  • @catjoox31 flesh

  • @catjoox31

    Caro means in latin flesh

  • @catjoox31 "Caro" is an appelative for Carolina which is the femenine of Carolus (Karl, Carlos), names that come from the masculine word "carus" which means "beloved one". So, you have a beautiful name.

  • @lealabel thank you :D

  • @catjoox31 in this case it is flesh..but it also might be a declension of the word "carus", which means "dear"..and as a matter of fact in italian "caro" means "dear" "beloved" (and also "expensive") ..I'm italian anyway :D

  • @catjoox31 do you have nice caro?

  • @Aang1 very funny -_-

  • These are very beautiful pictures. Congratulations!

  • My vid response is the Michael Haydn Requiem Introit. Mozart used it as a template for his Requiem. Look for similarities. The entire requiem is on my channel.

  • I don't deem it humanly possible...to dislike this type of music.

  • Around 3:10 the word "AT" should be "AD". Typo Error? The corrected latin sentence should be "AD TE OMNIS CARO VENIET" which literally means "To you all flesh (will) come."

  • @herakles120 You are right, it is a typing mistake

  • @herakles120 ad te omnis caro veniet, of course.

  • ESTA CANCION ES LA MAS GRANDE EN LA HISTORIA DE LA HUMANIDAD

THIS SONG IS BIGGEST IN MANKIND HISTORY

  • mozart is the bigest musician in world.

  • My favorite :)

  • such a great piece of work! thanks so much for sharing!

  • es imponente

  • i can learn Latin here!

  • Soprano is a bit operatic in style (should be a cleaner, younger sound). The choir coming in thereafter at Exaudi could be a bit stronger as well. Otherwise superb. Thank you for posting.

  • I want this to be played while people dumping my ashes in the sea. Love it, sounds just delightful filled with so much beauty, Takes my breathe away.

  • thank you...!!!

  • Great work man. Mozart is the center of my musical inspiration. And the requiem is his most amazing work, without doubt.

  • I am agnostic, so I have doubts about any religion, BUT this work must have been inspired by something "higher" ...

  • @ildanny80 watch the latest South Park!

  • @ildanny80 Of course, this is just a glimpse of God's glory!

  • @fireflies92 Mozart's*

  • @romulan1080 Is a flower's beauty the flower's own glory? Or is it nature's glory? Where does nature come from? Did it just appear out of nowhere? Did our ability to enjoy and see beauty in music and nature appear out of randomness? Of course not. It is a glimpse and characteristic of the divine. Something beyond what we just see.

  • @fireflies92 you are retarded.

  • @ildanny80 ...or Mozart is just THAT good.

  • A real work of art!

  • Oír a Mozart, en concreto este fragmento de su obra, es como escuchar la voz de Dios. Listen to Mozart, and this part of his job, is like listening God's voice.

  • I love this song...

  • Absolutly outstanding music, the pictures that go with it are pretty neat but I still enjoy the musc more.

  • your drawings are so beautiful...and even surpasse the beautiness...

  • i love the Requiem, such beautiful piece of music

  • i played this at my cats funeral, very moving. The entire congregation was in floods of tears.

Tibbles was very special. He got ran over by a woman driving a Fiat Punto 1100 .

  • Amazing work. Thank you., thank you. Do you have Communio?

  • @seidyq Not yet, but hopefully I will get to it soon and finish making vids for the whole requiem

  • Amazing drawings.

  • so sad the way he died... :'(

  • greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat

  • I just want to thank you for posting this beautiful piece of art. (not to mention your paintings)

  • sublime mozart , la voce di dio.

  • I love Mozart

    Your videos are really good!

    keep up the good work

    =]

    xx

  • Thanks for the post :) I'm not sure, maybe someone can clear this up for me, I was lead to believe that it was Salieri that helped start it off until his wife Constanza broke it off because she believed it was making him ill.

Again, just would like to know. Thanks a lot :)

  • It was just a movie - Peter Schaffer's Amadeus (originally a play) directed by Milos Forman, 1984. The thing with Salieri was made up, just a fiction. However, it was a great movie.

In fact, Requiem was ordered by a certain man who would ask famous composers to write some piece and then he would pretend that he wrote the music himself.

  • @hryzunik i believe the mans name was Count Franz Von Walsegg, if i am not mistaken.

  • @hryzunik Constanze did at one point take the score away from Mozart for that reason, but when his condition started to improve she gave it back.

  • @hryzunik so who was the man?

  • well he wasnt much of a lyricist lol personally its kinda lame to me, but i bet live it would sound awesome.

  • He did not write the lyrics

  • ya i saw that later down... oops. ^_^

but even so the lyrics are still lame :/

  • One of the best humans composition ever!

  • damn, it gives me the chills for some reason..

    5/5

  • I love this piece!! If only Mozart had been able to finish it..

  • Had Mozart written also the lyrics in Latin? Or he was helped by anyone else?

I rarely hear classical music, but this here is great.

  • Offertory is done according to a poem from middleages, but I do not know about the rest.

  • The text comes from the Tridentine (solemn high) Mass--which incorporates the various earlier liturgies of the Christian Church and a few poetic renderings of the Scriptures--that was used by the Roman Catholic Church from the Renaissance until Vatican II since this piece was made specifically for the celebration of a solemn mass.

I think this is one of the most beatiful musical pieces set for a religious celebration ever created.

  • wow, i just posted a comment 5 minutes ago about anyone knowing the lyrics for this and now five minutes later, i know what they mean. coincidence? of course not. i suppose the real question is why am i drawn to this

  • Groups of people singing about God. Reminds most of us of what should be like. Might be why we are all drawn whether conciously or not. Just a guess.

  • of what Heaven should be like...

  • @tedrick79 lol, right.

  • thanks for posting it. does the I.part (Introitus)really belong to mozart or was it finished by someone else??

  • No, Introitus was written by Mozart, Sussmayr probably finished only Sanctus, Benedictus and Agnus dei (he might have had some instructins from Mozart) and in Communion he used Mozart's music from Introitus an Kyrie and only changed the words.

  • Actually Mozart never gave instructions to Sussmayer for any of his compositions, he (Sussmayer) finished the compositions by himself

  • Thank you so much!!! It will be honour for me to make more videos for people like you! Don't worry, I will continue creating them because you fill me with real desire to continue :)

  • Please continue...I love your videos!

And Mozart is a central part of my life...so please don't stop! :)

  • Don't worry, i will continue :)

    And thank you.

  • I like your drawings, thanks for uploading this.

  • Very nice, thank you for posting.
