how do you know, in the 3d software, where is the "limit" of the screen?

how can I know if the object will be seen inside or outside the monitor?

@henriqvist You decide! In my case, I measured the distance (D) from my head to the monitor, and the angles between the 4 sides of the monitor and the middle between my eyes (H/V aperture angles). In 3D, I positioned the camera (eye pos) C centimeters in positive direction, the camera watching the origin. The origin is then at the screen distance from the viewer, centered in the middle of the virtual monitor. And negative Z coordinates are then, of course, in the screen.

but what i'm noticing now is that you didn't use parallel cameras, you used crossed cameras, right?

so the screen is in the point where they cross?

@henriqvist Yes, the screen is at the distance where the points through left and right projection give the same graphical result. Everything before or behind the screen will be horizontaly shifted while you fix the screen. The eye's are at separated positions but share the same target on the monitor (by squinting). That's why the use of a parallel projection to simulate the user's view is a mistake.

Oh come on this the the best one I saw on youtube. No flickering, perfect effect. The chopper completely sticks out of screen and I can control it by moving head. And red channel is not killing me like at those lazy automatically shifted videos. This is pure quality. I'm truly amazed. I'd love to be able too see this video in full hd.

@BAMDANAproductions IZ3D-Drivers can be downloaded from their website, and you only need red/blue or Red/Cyan glasses and a good videocard never hurts for these things, as it renders your game twice... still,.. it works okay on most games.. be sure to check their website for what games are supported a.s.o. @MorrisseysMonkey download the IZ3D drivers and you can play (almost) each game in anaglyph 3D, i played GTA4, Crysis, Left 4 Dead 2, Tropico 3, oblivion, fallout 3, split second, blur, battlefield 2 and assassin's creed (and some more) perfectly in 3D,.. it however recommended to have a good videocard (The Radeon HD 4890 with 1GB DDR5 memory isnt always enough here for highest settings (f.e. GTA4)

@iamcharlie21 Video compression isn't lossless. It always changes the colors a bit by linking them together. You can play with the intensity of each to try to minimize it, it's for this reason that I have slightly reduced the intensity of red. An example of image without this disadvantage is given as a link in the comments of the video called ' Anaglyph 3D - Walk through a landscape'.
