in english version its different because in the english version the max he gives is 103500 exp so u gotta do alot of farming around 10 times without getting hit 9999 and u gotta wait sum time for ur summon to cool down so around 40 times max :L

For anyone wondering, this is still very doable on the English release. Exdeath's AI is increased so you'll have to be a little more careful jumping around.

And yeah, I know about the Magic Jar exploits and all that. This video was made a few days after the Japan version was released so I didn't research all the summons yet. :)

@JirachiJenny This was a good tutorial. This is better then the Magic Jar exploit because there, you had to go and do Cloud's Story Mode. It's really repetitive. With this, you just get the CPU Caps, set it to your Bonus day, and (For Better Results) get the "Extra EXP on Bonus Days". You know, you'll get even more EXP if you smash them against a wall.

in the English version, Exdeath's AI is drastically improved, especially at level 9 difficulty. So if you're either new to the character you want to level up or you're at a low level, i recommend setting Exdeath to level 4-5 ish because if you are careless at level 9, he will counter your ass like no tomorrow.

keep changing your favorite day to whatever day it is, and fight a Lv.100 Emperor (all you have to do is knock his BLUE FLARE technique back at him) over and over cause I got Cloud, Sephiroth, and Jecht to Lv.100 all in one day

Have a 200k+ EXP and you will be lucky. I did it by Putting the enemy stats into Maximum and Lvl. 100 And by the little Help from CWCheat, I made my bravery Maxed out so 1-Hit KO + Bonus Day + 3 Chocobo Accessories + Grind Lover Play Plan (Exp Bonus 3X) = Massive EXP

I just fight Gilgamesh over and over. He is very predictable. !st comes the bravery attack then he just uses soul eater, paladin force, wind shear, or flood. Flood is the hard one because the timing needs to be right. But if he gets to EX mode watch out for goblin punch.

He is a special offline friend card you have to add using a code. Like the other final fantasy games he carries the Genji Items but it is hard to get. Anyway, when you get the hang of him and take advantage of the x3/x5 chocobo bonus, calender special, and chocobo exp+ items then making high level characters is nothing. Why just this morning I did just those and leveled up gabranth in 2 matches(1-96,96-100), and later Golbez in 2 minutes(1-100). He gained 2mill900k exp(1mill900k is max)

Ike is just as fast as Ganondorf. The difference is Ike has better recoveries.

Well, while both Ike and Ganondorf are slow and strong, Ganondorf puts more emphasis on the "strong" part while Ike puts more on the "somewhat better recovery" part. Ike is only a TAD faster than Ganondorf, but not much.

Similarly, Squall is only a TAD faster than Exdeath. Exdeath is considered to be the slowest attacker in the game, which is level up abusing with Exdeath is quite common like this video.

I have a better and faster method to level up. I leveled up cloud from lvl 2 to 59, and withous using any special invocations or chocobo accesory(i don't remember the name, i only rebember it raises the amount of exp obtained by 100%). if you want, i can upload the video.

you can make your x5 last forever,after the fight wait for the orange auto save light on psp to go out (the 1 by analog stick) then hit home button and the chocobo doesnt even know there was a fight,however broken stuff will not get fixed this way

For faster leveling up you could also give your character the Chocobo accesories, Feather, Down, and Wing, which you get by using the Treasure Hunter Play Plan, using the method mentioned + the Chocobo Accesories you can get over 100K exp per hit, which pretty much level you up about 5 levels or more per hit.

Yes, though the best time to attack is when he starts up Grand Cross. Anyone, even Kefka and Exdeath, can free air dash in (right away) to avoid Cross, and punish with any move you want.

Basically, this is an alternative to the magic pot method; takes longer, but feels a lot less cheap.

Just be sure to reset (won't advance the chocobo) if he has Snooze and Lose - you don't want to worry about sticking out random attacks to avoid the effect.

All of your abilities, the offensive ones, supporting ones and etc, cost a certain number of CP like one move will cost 20 CP to use. You have a CP bar that limits how many abilities you can equip and so to equip more abilities, each ability has an AP bar which fills up with AP points that you gain in battle and once you fill it up, then the CP for it is cut in half so you can equip more abilities. =)

I dont think you'll do it in a single battle, theoretically it is possible but no worries, after you reach the lvl cap you can learn and master the rest of your abilities by AP farming.

well cloud is a quick learner, but i dont think u should use cloud for this training , because u wont be a be able to master sonic break and slashing blow,(if u havent already) these are brutal to master if u want to learn omnislash ver. 5 and finnishing touch

not the ex burst, i think u can still master those moves, even if ur in a hundred. ur probably lackng AP, so thats y u havent probably gotten those moves. anyway u should check if u have the abilities, in the firs place. sonic break and slashing blow. then start focusing on those so u could learn new abilities. These r NOT EX BURSTS, to make it clear. u wont regret it trust me

against gabranth is good too, 'cause he can't kill you if he's not in EX-mode, when he is, all you have to do is keep yourself higher than him to avoid aerial "innosence" and keep away from him to avoid "hatred"

Step 1. u need to buy for enemy lvl 100 and exp higher

Step 2. Put the Phoenix Down exp100% in u equiement

Step 3 . wait the chocobo when he say exp x5

Step 4. Play Normal mode x3 or hardest mode x5

Step 5.Choose the ff12 enemy because he can't kill u .

It's because gilgamesh doesn't directly relate to anyone in FF5 like ExDeath does. Same reason they didn't use Seymour as the villian for FFX's Dissidia characters. But Gilgamesh would've been awesome to have.

Granted, but Golbeza (FFIV) turned out to be a good guy, and they included him.

SE execs addressed this in an interview. Each villain needs to have a personal connection to their respective protagonist; if they'd made Seymour the villain, Yuna would have to be the hero.

I'd absolutely love to see Seymour, but I agree with their decision. He just doesn't fit the part. Besides, Jecht is FREAKING AWESOME. Everything he does EXPLODES AND/OR IS ON FIRE.
