@KellyJones00 I think he was talking about the kind of love between elderly people, people of a very advanced age, for whom love is about companionship rather than sex. It's "pure" love, out of necessity.

@StarbugViki Yes, like pure alcoholism, when the facade is stripped off. Old married couples aren't "lovers", but people whose individuality has been utterly eroded. The folly of marriage is that the parties mutually believe the other party is thinking. Ha! More like an infinite series of halved consciousness until it becomes nothing.
