Garry's is one of the producers of Half Life 2 while in production he made a mod to try out stuff in half life later he fixed it up a bit a sold it in steam for $5 how it works is like this say i got Left 4 Dead,Counter Strike,and Doom 3 GMOD would copy all 3 games it would extract the characters,textures,weapons,levels,enemy and then u can mix it up like u can have the doomguy (D3) with a M16(L4D) in the desert (counter strike)
