1. اسم الخليج الفارسى هو الاسم اللى استخدم فى الخرايط التاريخيه القديمه و اسامى الخليج الفارسى و بحر فارس هى الاسامى المستخدمه فى كتب المؤرخين العرب و المصريين القدام و كمان فى العصر الحديث.
التسميه بتاعة الخليج دا محل خلاف بين بعض الدول العربية اللي بتحب تسميه الخليج العربي او الخليج بس مع انه تاريخيا و عالميا معروف باسم الخليج الفارسي.

I am arabian and i respect and love the persian history and culture. and I believe it is a Persian gulf .. the history of persia pre-dated any arabian history .. i see no point fighting about its persian or its arabic ..

@Rewayah even if they were there .. they didnt have any civilization like the persians had before the rise of islam .. they were sporadic bedwin people across arabian peninsula .. unlike the great persian empire that was in a continuous fight with the Roman empire .. and its crystal clear that it was called the persian gulf in the west ..

@IraqiShammar My dear tazi, many of those civilizations were actually non-arab; for example the Medeans were Kurds; I know you think that the first civilization were sumerians, so I'll give you a hint: search for "Elamites" on the net. For the most part what does it all even have to do with the Persian gulf? And by the way don't take those who insult seriously.

@IraqiShammar And who the hell ever told you we hated arabs? arab is not a specific word, a friend of mine from Jordan told me that there are 21 arab countries and I have seen arabs from Libya, saudi, Yemen and hey I have a good friend from Iraq. You know what I think? I think you guys are a very diverse bunch. You can't be put in one category. Please stop being such a racist, racism sucks.

@gorgealaki, Arabs are Saudi, Yemen, Qatar the Gulf states, Jordanian, Egyptian, Syrian & the rest are forced to be Arabs. If you speak to the educated people of these country they would never say they are Arab, I know many that think it is an insult being called an Arab and they know it is mostly uneducated and religious freeks that accept being called Arab.

@seanamico I notice too how Islamists want to claim for Islam the scientific and engineering achievements of the advanced civilisations they invaded. Yet all progress ended 1,000 years ago. Notice too, that there was not a single contribution from Arabia, not one! Look, if one dare, at the fate of Arabia's black African neighbours to grasp how Islam was and still is practiced by its originators. Iran must surely remember Cyrus the Great who exceeded Mohammed as an inspiration in every way.

Carl Sagan The Frailty of Knowledge is just one of the many libraries destroyed, the Arabs destroyed all writings & books when invading Iran, they claim if it agrees with the Quran we dont need them and if these books dont then they must be destroyed, this is proof of ignorance, stupidity & arrogance of a backward people & cult like Islam.

@seanamico Yup. I've also just found out that the Islamists also burned down the great library of Constantinople too. Wow, the more one looks into Islamic history the uglier it all gets. Incredible how they've managed to keep everyone's eye off the ball for so long.

The 'Holy' books were written by and for slave owners, liars and frauds to enable them to spin webs to trap and hold their prey.

@Rewayah, Says whom? You? Iranians have been part of Iran & had civilizations long before you knew what that meant. Yemen was the only nation that can go back to say they had a civilization but they are not in the Gulf are they.
Iranians have lived in this region for over ten thousand years, Medes that is over 3000 years was part of the Persians.

The UN calls it Persian Gulf . Even the time of the caliphate and muhammad arabs called it Persian Gulf. It was only the 1960s with pan arabism when nasser started suggesting arabian gulf but the naming has not found any acceptance outside the arab states. It was and will ALWAYS be the PERSIAN GULF.
