I'm so glad i was into bikes in the days of the 250 stroker, even if i was too young to ride when they first came out. I see the anti septic bikes around today, and feel sorry for the yoofz not knowing the thrill of a two stroke. Even when i had my RD 350 LC at age 17 (mid 90's) I hankered after a KR1-S.

That's a pretty funky bike, mate. My KR1 is sitting in the shed, awaiting restoration. I can see why you'd have changed the original suspension. The original is ....unworthy....to say the least. Great steering, too. Loved the vid.

Thanks! Only the suspension (and air-intake) are not-original on the bike. Suspension is from WP and was adjusted special for this track. I have more cornerspeed now and then because of the light-weight of the bike.

That's coz the KR1-S takes corners at least 10mph faster than anything else... :p

250cc can get to about 80 on the highway depending on the bike, thats not slow lol

WTF imacf90? 80? 80 what? The KR1-S 250's book top speed is 132mph (bog standard WITH restriction in exhaust too) & does 0-60 in 4.1 seconds (That's as fast as a Gallardo! & from 0-100 the KR1-S beats it by over a second). With a bit of tuning & new pipes, you can get them up over 140mph. I had a 1990 KR1 that was timed at 142mph and currently own a 1992 KR1-S which is about to come out of the garage sporting a stage 3 tune & unrestricted pipes. That should be good for about the same speed. :)

Only thing not original about the Kawa is the air-intake. It's a K&N airfilter wich also provides a nice sound :)
