Nice work dude, that's a very hard song to play, I tried to learn Tommy Emmanuels version of classical gas but only got to the start of part two ( there's 4 ) and it was too frustrating and I put it on the back burner for now....... Maybe I'll try again soon :)
haha yea i get u, this was 2 years ago and i can't watch it now without cringing! least its a good way of keepin track of my progression. but keep in mind its a cover n i'm not a "blues player" but rather a musician who occasionally delves with blues (not in nam of course)
hey nice show of this song dude one of the best ive seen by someone not tommy, can you give me the tabs for it if you got em? that would be awsome... well really nice cover
basically you strum the harmonics above the 5th fret on all the strings, and as it's ringing you push the neck away from you so that it bends slightly... really easy you just gotta learn 2 control it
ya shud have told that lad in the background to have a bit on cop-on and stop hammering untill you finished recording. It must have been some name he was trying to hammer in!
gift? that's a word that gets tossed around alot, i don't think 4 or 5 hours of practicing a day is exacly something someone wrapped up and placed under a christmas tree for me. Not that i don't appreciate your praise, i sincerely do, but i also want to make people think.
its a gift that you have the incentive to spend that many hours wiht music....unless you hate that time, the gift is one given by yourself (and music) to yourself...
Your brain and neural pathways have to have been wired in a certain fortunate ways to even have a shot at achieving a high level of proficiency in manually dextrous music.
I don't have it, and I love guitar music and I've been playing many years. My brother DOES. When he was 20 he was better than I'll EVER be. In that sense, it's a gift.
Fortunately for you, it's not necessary to understand or acknowledge it in order to use it.
Good job.. and I would agree with some of the comments here that you should try to slow it down.. just a bit.. eventhrough it is a tribute to SRV, the riff is actually John Lee Hooker, not SRV. So try to keep it more delta then texas
i give you a thumbs up on your comment to bring it back a lil m8, i've had the privilege of lessons from tommy and i know he would agree with us, he does play good but slowing it down would make it magic
I think you are the best guitarfreak I've ever seen.. would you learn me to play the guitar like you? *smile* When I see you playing the guitar I feel baaaaaaaaad!!!! =(

AMAZING... simply AMAZING ! ! !
I can't understand how can people post comments like "well, you are good, but..."
This boy is a fantastic guitar player, one of the best I have ever seen, no matter if he plays fast or not..
Mineiro426 3 years ago
I just dunno why most guitarists seem to think fast is good. You play a good guitar but slow down a lil bit and you can stay in the beat

hi where cud i find an accurate tab of stevie's the one u playin..cud u suggest a site even i buy online..tnx
jograd08 4 years ago
There's only one problem with the way you play it. You hit 5-4-0 when it should be 5-3-0.
Otherwise, wonderfully played.
Gh0stPreacher 4 years ago
Correction: you're playing it right, but you should slide up to 4 from 3.
My Bad :).
