  • Unfortunately, SketchUp is very dependent on your computer's graphics card, and the MacBook (at least before last week) has integrated graphics. This means that the graphics memory is shared with the rest of the system (sort of) which results in not-ideal performance.

  • @aidanchopra I was going to write a funny little comment but then i realized this was a 2 year old post lol. i.e. problem fixed from my macbook pro 7th gen :)

  • I am using google sketchup too get the just of 3d environments and other stuff. Then once I get too a decent skill level with skethup I am going too move onto cad. I would like too be able too create more realistic creations and I am sure cad can do that. But Sketchup is a great starting program.

  • I agree, Im 15 and I can't wait to study architecture so I thought I can get used to creating models with free software and be prepared for the future.
