you have to wait for the system updates that you can download, very similar to the psp.

when you set up the wi fi settings on yours it said WEP .i know this is to do with the security settings on your wirless. mine is a WPK . does it matter ?

when i did the pin part it came up with other different screens .... like it wasnt accepting the password i choose .... is there a password you have to put in that comes with the ds when new and then you put in the one you want after,thats what it looked like .....whats the password on the ds from the factory as new ?

Factory reset deletes all your personal settings so that the DSi starts up 'as new'... but I don't think it will downgrade updated firmware

can the dsi crash if you turn it off while updating the firmware by accident or if it runs outta power or if it freezes or anything that will iterupt the update ?

I've never tried, but you should always be careful.

I've reset my Wii when it's just starting to update, but you never know what might happen

You don't need a game to use WiFi. Just set up the settings properly and you can access the online store

I got the Limited Edition DSi Final Fantasy in WHite and it cost me about 380 w/a case, & 2 screen protectors.

Does it still run on wifi only on a WEP key or does it run on wifi like the Wii does where you don't need WEP

If your router has WEP then you need the key. It is always best to setup a key on your router so that others can't access your access point.

Some routers have AOSS, where you don't need to type the key. You press the AOSS button on the router, click the button on the DSi, and it automatically sets up

Even if you could, you would need to know where my Wifi Access Point is in the world, stand outside my house with your DSi and enter the password before you could use it :)

Do you mean the DSi or the power converter. The DSi price outside Japan is going up and down based on demand, limited supply and exchange rates. Here in Hong Kong they cost about $1500 new (around 130 british pounds / US#190) last time I checked. It may be lower right now. Check out the various suppliers on eBay.

It should play in English. I've heard of some multi-language games (ie English and French) that only work in English on the DSi. Nobody has told me of any problems playing English or US games in English though

The only DSi available right now is the Japanese import version. Unfortunately its menus and settings are all in Japanese, which is why I made the video.

You can still play DS games in English... but right now there is no way to change the settings menu language.

Where do you live?  In some countries you need a power converter (to change the voltage), but in others you only need an adapter (to change the socket size).

I live in UK. Most of the time, I use an adapter to change the socket shape, but since lots of people say I need a power converter to the DSi, I'm not sure where to get one. So I live in UK, which one will I need, the Power Converter or the plug adapter?

Yes, you need a power converter. Some converters (like the one in my video) act as an adapter too. Check in your local electronics or hardware store for one. I'm sure you can order them on eBay too, but you need to be careful that it is a safe one
