I believe an excellent idea is to watch Emily Blunt as young Victoria and later on proceed to see Judi Dench as older queen Victoria it would suit our imaginations think of it as part 1 and 2
Well, Madame Judi Dench certainly had found a way to remain on the stage, even after her beauty has waned, which actresses seldom achieve and are bound to play supportive roles mostly; but since many famous women lived past their bloom of beauty it is a field to be explored; as for the story: The true cause of Victoria’s suffering was of course the Merovingian syndrome! One day she found out that she is only Queen in name and that the prime ministers hold sway in the realm.
The Platonic romance or friendship between her and the rural Scot, who is the very definition of a true male human being, is very well and without scandal depicted; and since the two actors are quite good appear to be very creditable; as well as her annoying family and the chattering classes, including the prime minister Disraeli, though the story is fixed on the Queen and Monsieur Brown. No undying masterwork like Akira Kurosawa’s Ran but still a great movie.

We've had the diluted version, because I bet Vikki and John Brown were on fire!!
This is Billy Connolly at his best.
