Oi people!, Rukia is not going to die in the third movie. How do I know that fact? Well, the 3rd movie came out and I saw it! Rukia battles Ichigo in this movie! It's ichiruki all the way!!! no orihime!! not even a mili sec of Orihime in this movie!! Did you know in this movie, Ichigo embraces Rukia, then strokes her hair!!! so you all should be grateful to Kubo-san!! Sorry for spoiling it for all of you. Flames are welcome!!

They can't kill Rukia off in the movie--simply because the writers of the movie cannot really control anything that happens majorly; they cannot cause major chanes in the storyline because Tite Kubo, the author of the manga, has the control. Even if she did die, she would end up coming back to life or something since the real plotline--Tite's--must continue.

It's just a filler movie.

Just like the Naruto Shippuden movie where everyone thought Naruto was gonna die. I mean come on. Pretty much all the movies are filler. Tite Kubo helps make them, probably, but nothing really significant to the plot happens in the movies. The manga's obviously not done yet, and if Rukia died in the movie (which is totally separate from the real storyline), that would mess up Kubo's entire scheme.

Rukia doesnt die,the whole soul society(exepct Renji Abarai)forgets about Ichigo after an accedent.which means....Rukia.....forgets about Ichigo.Something about the seireitei falling down,then ichigo's hollow awakens the time hes at the soul society.Then everyone thinks it was ichigo who destroyed the seireitei.thats all i know.

yeah.. I heard something like that too. Actually I heard Rukia was going missing after the incident in SS, not Ichigo. She just vanishes from everyone's memories, Renji's also, except Ichigo's memories. So the "Goodbye Rukia" would stand for her suddenly disappearance and Ichigo looking for her while trying to escape from all shinigami who thought he was the one who destroyed them.

In the middle of Ichigo in his Bankai form A subtitle reading "Meeting of Destiny" appears as it features a flashback scene of Ichigo and Rukia Then it says "An irreplacable friend" and shows Renji After the subtitle reading "Why?"appears Ichigo, surrounded by Captains and gets thrusted by Kenpachi by his neck Then we see an emotionless Rukia turning to leave the scene we see Ichigo calling out "Rukia!" with a desperate look on his face (not exactly right but close enough)
