spirit needs 2 merge with jetblue becuase no other airline charges for carryons and haz non reclining seats and fractured management. this video is an example of a poor team. jetblue is non unionized and they are great, low fares great fleet and people. spirit, skimpy business plan with unorganized management. Flyi waz the best and no other will match the way they did things and operated (except the crjs) other than that they were the king!spirit should have flown flyi and taken notes

actually on the news the other day, the guy who i guess owns Spirit said that their airplanes don't' have as much leg room as continental or delta or etc. because they have a lot more seats in their plane unlike other airlines.
I flew this crummy airline in May 2007. There was no one at the check in desk 45 minutes before the flight so I couldn't get my boarding pass!! This was Memorial Day weekend. I was flying from SFO to Detroit. I was not allowed to board through security because the airport didn't even know how to reach Spirit Airlines. I ended up missing my flight and had to buy a one way ticket with another carrier leaving the next morning.
On my way back from my destination 3 days later, I learned that since I hadn't boarded the outbound flight, my returning flight had been automatically canceled. There were no refunds. Unbelievable. Again, I had to buy another one-way ticket back home this time with Spirit itself since no other airlines were headed back to SFO that day. SPIRIT AIR IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST AIRLINE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT FLYING WITH THEM.
It can happen to any airline...-_- and well it does, so i dont know why some of you r being so ignorant. Last month i flew in Sprit and my flight got ahead of time by 1 hour. -_-
Spirit stinks anyway. Their FLL base is a mess! They screwed up their Tampa-ORD route, and pulled out. " And lemme tell jew some think ... OK " Ha Ha I love it. It just goes to show you how low airlines have sunk in their recruitment standards.

And when you call their reservation center it goes to Manila (Phillippines) 24/7, with no possible way to speak with someone in their Florida corporate office to solve in challenges. For Spirit Airlines, the acronym they have on their web site (ULCC) must actually stand for Ultra Low Class Carrier. I suggest you avoid them.
Back to the topic, overall, don't fly TACA or Spirit! Don't like the fact that they operate French Airbus A320's! Stick with American or United. I refuse to fly on anything with less than 10 wheels on it!
