  • they make those backflips look soooooo effortless! Wish i could do them that well!

  • chaupro, you're just jealous

  • wooow

    Amazing

  • 2:13 cool idea :D

  • what chord are they?

  • 5 STARS!

  • A FIVE STARS capoeira video!!....

  • muy buena la presentacion.

  • Profesor Pasarella here.Chaupro You can show the real heart of Capoeira and nobody will understand it.If you want to show the Capoeira you should invitethe public to Academia and make a many hours long speech about the roots of art. These people were hired to do the show, spectacular and full of acrobatics. This is the higher level of prostitution: you sell the Capoeira in a way that can atract the audience but still it's the way of popularizing Capoeira. The knowledge of the soul will come in time

  • This capoeira group is Boa Vontade from Natal, Brasil.

They are showing off their skills to raise money for a streetkid-project (Project Capoeira Boa Vontade) in their hometown.

The money is used to get those kids off the street, send them to school and learn them capoeira.

In their world its all about surviving.

  • Chaupro, you judge too harshly, remember capoeira teaches humility and fraternity and respect. dont judge them just cause you saw a video. many groups do shows like this, and they have awesome capoeiristas in them. axe camarada.

  • though I get that, I still think that little things like respect to the peracruz and the berimbau should be a part of any roda....performance, street roda, batizado, training...any roda. Also, when doing a demo, I thin it's important to show both the fun and the fight in capoeira...so flips for the fun, but keeping your eyes on your partner is also important if you want to portray capoeira to the audience.

  • Chaupro, when people watch a capoeira performence, the people want to see the acrobatics, the fancy stuff. Yeah I'm all for the hard games during the performence, but keep in mind that the people just want to be entertained even IF they see some hard games here and there. But for the most part the acrobatics are to get your attention, THEN when you decide to take a class, THAT is when they show you the hard games, etc.

  • awesome! you dont see alot of girls with these skills in capoeira.

  • Chaupro your face is weak. Get over it. Why bother commenting if you've only got negatives? And if you're only trying to give helpful advice please try to be nice about it. I'm learning Capoeira to supplement my tricking which I'm using for stunt acting. So my Capoeira looks prety much exactly the same. Just because they've adapted to a normal audience doesn't mean they lack skill or respect.

  • AFoxGuy,

You are right, capoeira is everything and everything is capoeira

This is a nice show but the 'real roda' is played with different styles and music. The jogo is about trying to outsmart your oponent. This clip doesn't show that

Capoeira in the roda is not about flips or jumps, if you do a mortal and when you land you get floored with an rasteira the whole flip is pointless.

Anyhoo good luck with your capoeira

    Montanha

  • i wish to learn this too,but i'm not good enough :(

  • can't seem to post here

  • This capoeira is WEAK.

They are only doing florreros...no real moves...they continue to turn their backs.

There is no real Capoeira rhythm there...don't even know why they have a berimbau if they are not going to play the rhythms.

There is no respect for the peracruz...

Also....every playing at the same time? hat nonsense is that?

  • I do not think their Capoeira is weak. They have strong movements even the females, and some good body mechanics. I think if they were not doing a show they would play very different. As for the music, well, I think they are giving the crowd what they want, and I suppose making money.

  • Even in a show, you are supposed to display Capoeira in it's entirity...you are supposed to mix the fight with the dance and

the acrobatics equally...so even when you are flipping, you need to watch the person you are playing with...you may not want to

kick the person down because it's a show and that is your friend, but doing a series of flips is NOT capoeira.

  • How can you do a move and turn your back on the person just because it's a show?

Also, no foundation...the lack of a real Capoeira rhythm, the lack of respect for the peracruz, everyone jumping into the roda

at the same time...They will not be allowed to play in a roda at my school, and if they do, a fight WILL ensue because of the

lack of respect. They have no foundation, thus their capoeira is WEAK.

  • one thing is to do roda, another thing is to do a show. many good capoeiristas do shows and tours as a job. That doesn't mean that's how they always do capoeira. Grupo Topazio is a very strong group for example, as is axe capoeira, and just cause they do shows doesnt mean they don't know capoeira. Remember we are not mestres, we shouldnt judge other capoeiristas or styles just cause we saw a video. capoeira teaches humility, not just jogo. axe camarada

  • Mate Topazio specialise in everything!

  • I thought these guy's were amazing & very entertaining.

They know how to play the crowd and they sure know their moves.

Have no idea which group this is, anyone knows?

  • they're very good:)

I don't know they move pretty unique, I'd place my bet on Topazio since they seem to specialize in capoeira "shows".
