I think i'm coming to a conclusion with this one but, at the beginning of this video did one of the cops take one of the bad guys and move him off the screen then go help the other cop detain the other bad guy. Then one of the other cops walked over to the first bad guy and when the camera moved over to that part the guy was on the ground. Is that waht I saw???

Bedford is no better. a black girl tried to run me out of the road; they said it was her word against mine!!
I've never heared anything of Gaskins throwing his wife down steps, plus this video was found to be by the book due to the man resisting arrest and them trying to get him under control (notice the office who throw punchs was not in complete uniform and no night stick). Yes, however these false claims were from his ex wife who has a history of making false reports against him. If he even went to trail for these then he was found not guilty. As any assault charge (especially assault on a family or household member under Virginia State code) will disqualify him from carrying a gun or being a police officer. Gaskins was found not guilty in the court of law therefore he is to be presumed innocent.

I was drunk in my own home in Roanoke VA. Wife called cops because I was playing music too loud with my friend. I didn't know the cop was in my house, and I opened up the door and said to my wife, I'll kill ya if you do that again. (She banged on the wall or something) Cop said that's all I need to hear, and cuffed me and took my to jail. Went to court, Judge laughed when reading the charges and said this isn't a crime or something like that and told me I could go. Damn, I really felt violated

I work in Roanoke and I'll tell you this, the crap the police have to put up with is incredible. Roanoke is a catch all for every transient that the surrounding cities don't want. I think the police here do a fine job. You don't know if the guy spat on them, certainly he was resisting, and this is a very biased account. My encounters with the Roanoke police have always been decent, and YES..I've been pissed at them, because I have gotten tickets. They by and large just do their job.

Oddly enough - I got pulled over by a cop in Roanoke, VA today for going slightly over the speed limit. The officer was in an unmarked car and when I asked to view the officers badge, I was told to shut up and sign the ticket or go to jail.

The police shouldn't be allowed to beat up anybody. They are after all public servants and are supposed to protect and serve not abuse people and violate their civil rights. I assume the judge, public defender and prosecutor (who all go golfing together) believed the overly ambitious cop (who also goes golfing with them) and I'm guessing you were found guilty (not that you were its just unlikely that charges are ever dropped unless you have a very expensive lawyer.

There is not enough evidence in this video to support that the police were not justified in their actions. We don't see what happens before the video begins, and we cannot hear any audio to determine what the guy who is on the ground is doing.

More than once I've seen a cop turn his lights on to go through a red light then turn them back off and drive in no hurry. Had one turn on his lights to pass me on a double yellow line again in no hurry. I've had one going the other way at a very high rate of speed pass me without his lights on. I have one living on my street he will let his dog run loose with no tag.

Young black males are treated this way and 90 percent of the time are given a phony excuse on why the dog will be called to search them. I have been in that situation and I have also been in a car with older black men and a white male as a passenger when the car was pulled over for a supposed traffic stop and asked my information (once cleared, was free to go and no one got a ticket.) simply to know who I am.
Before you make a decision on how blacks are treated much more differently than whites please take the time to watch and observe and pay attention to the actions of those who are sworn to protect and serve EVERYBODY! One example to think of:when you are pulled over are you immediately asked to have your car searched even if you have a valid license and registration.
Caucasions can come and go as they please at anytime from the gas stations after any event as long as there isn't too many blacks there. While 30 of Roanoke's finest rush to disperse a gathering of black people at a gas station that has not reported a problem, 5 cruise to break up an all out brawl of young white people. The Hispanics get it pretty hard too its not just African-Americans.
I have partied with both races and rarely do I see that many police officers waiting outside of a white club (i.e. Blueberry Hill, Cornbeef, etc.). The only time I see that many police officers downtown on party night is when a La Finca party is thrown by a black individual. Even the way they race to the gas stations and chance the black people off doesn't resemble the force that they use to black a white mob scuffle.
Meanwhile 15 minutes across town young white people are hanging on properties on Williamson Road that clearly have NO TRESPASSING and NO LOITERING signs while they speed and race up and down the street. Yes the black clubs have had their troubles but if the police aren't called isn't them being there once the black club is out kind of like when the British release the foxes for the hunt.
Make sure you ride everywhere and you will kost definetely notice the difference. While the caucasion parties are left completely un-watched there are at least 12 to 13 police CARS waiting outside of the only black club in Roanoke. Only after they have walked through the parking lot peeking inside people's cars.
I'm not commenting on anyone else comments on this video but for those who have no clue on how the Roanoke police interact differently with African-Americans and Caucasions (sorry if I spelled it wrong) all you have to do is come out for a party or ride around on Saturday night.

I think i'm coming to a conclusion with this one but, at the beginning of this video did one of the cops take one of the bad guys and move him off the screen then go help the other cop detain the other bad guy. Then one of the other cops walked over to the first bad guy and when the camera moved over to that part the guy was on the ground. Is that waht I saw???
I can only assume he clubed that first guy for absolutly no reason.

Bedford is no better. a black girl tried to run me out of the road; they said it was her word against mine!!

I've never heared anything of Gaskins throwing his wife down steps, plus this video was found to be by the book due to the man resisting arrest and them trying to get him under control (notice the office who throw punchs was not in complete uniform and no night stick). Yes, however these false claims were from his ex wife who has a history of making false reports against him. If he even went to trail for these then he was found not guilty. As any assault charge (especially assault on a family or household member under Virginia State code) will disqualify him from carrying a gun or being a police officer. Gaskins was found not guilty in the court of law therefore he is to be presumed innocent.

I was drunk in my own home in Roanoke VA. Wife called cops because I was playing music too loud with my friend. I didn't know the cop was in my house, and I opened up the door and said to my wife, I'll kill ya if you do that again. (She banged on the wall or something) Cop said that's all I need to hear, and cuffed me and took my to jail. Went to court, Judge laughed when reading the charges and said this isn't a crime or something like that and told me I could go. Damn, I really felt violated

I work in Roanoke and I'll tell you this, the crap the police have to put up with is incredible. Roanoke is a catch all for every transient that the surrounding cities don't want. I think the police here do a fine job. You don't know if the guy spat on them, certainly he was resisting, and this is a very biased account. My encounters with the Roanoke police have always been decent, and YES..I've been pissed at them, because I have gotten tickets. They by and large just do their job.

I'm not a roanoke city police officer, but I do work very closely with them everyday. These guys are amazing and would do anything for anyone if people would only respect them. Oddly enough - I got pulled over by a cop in Roanoke, VA today for going slightly over the speed limit. The officer was in an unmarked car and when I asked to view the officers badge, I was told to shut up and sign the ticket or go to jail.

The police shouldn't be allowed to beat up anybody. They are after all public servants and are supposed to protect and serve not abuse people and violate their civil rights. I can agree that the cops here have a bad side. More than once I have had one tail gate me. More than once I've seen a cop turn his lights on to go through a red light then turn them back off and drive in no hurry. Had one turn on his lights to pass me on a double yellow line again in no hurry. I've had one going the other way at a very high rate of speed pass me without his lights on. I have one living on my street he will let his dog run loose with no tag.

Does this justify this type of treatment that was given by the Roanoke City Police, if it does then we should find all of the lawyers, doctors and professionals who owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support and do that to them. It sounds like you have a personal issue with deadbeat dads if so God can heal you just pray for your dad.

Please don't get it twisted young African-American males between the ages of 16-30 are being hunted and it is a scary feeling. When you are wrong you are wrong; but every black male with nice things and a white t-shirt is not a criminal or suspect. If so then the same should go for young males of all races. Otherwise its racism plain and simple.

Young black males are treated this way and 90 percent of the time are given a phony excuse on why the dog will be called to search them. I have been in that situation and I have also been in a car with older black men and a white male as a passenger when the car was pulled over for a supposed traffic stop and asked my information (once cleared, was free to go and no one got a ticket.) simply to know who I am.

Before you make a decision on how blacks are treated much more differently than whites please take the time to watch and observe and pay attention to the actions of those who are sworn to protect and serve EVERYBODY! One example to think of:when you are pulled over are you immediately asked to have your car searched even if you have a valid license and registration.

Caucasions can come and go as they please at anytime from the gas stations after any event as long as there isn't too many blacks there. While 30 of Roanoke's finest rush to disperse a gathering of black people at a gas station that has not reported a problem, 5 cruise to break up an all out brawl of young white people. The Hispanics get it pretty hard too its not just African-Americans.

I have partied with both races and rarely do I see that many police officers waiting outside of a white club (i.e. Blueberry Hill, Cornbeef, etc.). The only time I see that many police officers downtown on party night is when a La Finca party is thrown by a black individual. Even the way they race to the gas stations and chance the black people off doesn't resemble the force that they use to black a white mob scuffle.

Meanwhile 15 minutes across town young white people are hanging on properties on Williamson Road that clearly have NO TRESPASSING and NO LOITERING signs while they speed and race up and down the street. Yes the black clubs have had their troubles but if the police aren't called isn't them being there once the black club is out kind of like when the British release the foxes for the hunt.

Make sure you ride everywhere and you will kost definetely notice the difference. While the caucasion parties are left completely un-watched there are at least 12 to 13 police CARS waiting outside of the only black club in Roanoke. Only after they have walked through the parking lot peeking inside people's cars.

When I went to court over it the whole case was thrown out and dismissed. Last time the pigs in this craphole town came to my house I told them to get the fuck off my property while holding a 12 gauge shotgun backed up by my 4 ex-military K-9 trained Rottweilers. Since they didnt have a warrant they took my advice and got the hell off my property and didnt come back.

First off, Slayer is awesome, but if you're in your car, it doesn't really have to be that loud for you to hear it. Not everyone wants to hear what we listen to. Second, if you had a 12 gauge shotgun, I'm sure they wouldn't have just "taken your advice" and walked away. Sounds a little unrealistic, don't you think? In any case, if Roanoke isn't a good option for you, then maybe California would be a better option. I'm getting out of here when I can.

He is definitely resisting arrest, the guy fell because he was trying to run. I read the article in the paper and his story doesn't even look like its close to fitting the video "I must have turned around to fast..." he tried to run, he made and ass of himself, the other guy standing there didn't get shit said or done to him because he didn't try to run. He's an idiot and the same thing would have happened to me if i had tried to run. I don't even understand where you think there's a case here.
