  • Further more there was no point. Anyone with a budget of 10$ could've made a trilogy of this movie. If anybody an explain the plot to me in any way shape or form, please do. This movies is hands down the stupid thing i have ever seen. The government should use this movie as a form of torture, I know it would work very well on me.

  • @alecthehbomb00 ummm..... ya... i made this video and thus i am highly offended. I actually had $11 for this movie but I used $1 to used it to buy me a snack.

  • You people are all so stupid that you actually think this is good? This movie literally is made up of two outcast men who drive or walk around the desert and one of them explodes. It really makes no sense why anyone would like this. It is hours of two retards who dont know what do so one of them blows himself up and the other one thinks he can put him back together. Really people, you rate this thumbs up? You should be ashamed.

  • Commit Suicide LIKE A BOSS!

  • absolutely incomparable. have never liked a group/band/duo in my life as much as daft punk.

  • Koyaanisqatsi all over again. Bravo.

  • Machines without purpose. They malfunction, and as a consequence, they must be disposed of and replaced. As robots, they had no idea what was wrong with themselves; they only knew that they were different, so they strived to become something that they're not. However, their journey to enlightenment was long and hard (like my cock). In the process of discovering humanity, they instead became aware of the uselessness. A useless machine is junk. Junk is to be disposed of. It wasn't suicide.

  • even though it's a daft punk movie none of their music was in it

  • It's like they flew so high, they got burned by the sun and died. I dunno, it's an abstract movie, I can say what I want about it.

  • I would have liked BE SOMEONE IN CAST !

  • yo! can some one explain this movie?

shots could've been a bit shorter, thats what made it boring.

  • @diegobrp Would've been perfect accept the 20 minutes of desert shots!

  • SUBTITLES PLEASE!!!

  • Love this movie! But why is their no english or spanish subtitles?

  • This is truly is one of the most meaningful movies I have seen in awhile.

  • I know how Guy felt in the end. Enraged so much to cause him to walking the earth inflamed in sorrow and disgust of his surroundings.

  • Hey Guy-Manuel... Why you such a hot head? =3

  • i saw this 5 times the last few hrs and i cried my hearth out everytime ;(

  • This has to be the end of daft punk? Well i can kind of see why. 1st: thomas commited suicide. 2nd: Guy is probably still out there in the desert on fire. LOL. Long Live Daft Punk!

  • This is so sad.

wait Guy and Thomas didnt even play their own robots o.o

    wow.

  • Is this the end of DP then?

  • Two robots, in a world where they dont belong even though they look like everyone else, they try to become human but society will not accept them to be human. Rejected they try to find their answers by wandering the desert. In the end they are frustrated and overwhelmed to the point of self destruction, something only a human is capable of doing. So in the end they are human after all..

  • i wanna watch this movie in spanish now

  • i feel so sad about those robots, but i liked it. amazing movie.

  • T.T

  • This movie is so exquisite!

How Daft Punk expressed how they felt about the people that got rejected in the society because they were different... Casting them to eternal loneliness, and eventually leading to suicide.

The most fantastic part is that they expressed that without any words at all.

Of course, this movie isn't just for anyone; it's a very... "Advanced" movie.

So without further ado, I give this movie a 5/5* :D

I expect more awesomeness from you Daft Punk, keep it up! 83

  • Daft Punk actually said in an interview that it's not advanced. It's not an answer; it's a question. It's up for interpretation, and it's not meant to work your brain.

  • not to be mean but what was the point to this movie???

  • I watched this whole thing. Definately not an interstella 555 but not bad.....different is a good word for it. I've listened to daft passively since I saw da funk on tv back in the day, but I wasn't entirely too keen on this film. It was by no means a piece of doodoo but it's only real saving grace throughout is the minimalistic melodies. Maybe if I were dosed or on some DMT but sober/ high this whole film scores a 5/10 because half of it is just them walking around to Absolutely NO SOUNDS >:-(

  • maybe this movie its original maybe it has a mesage but still this movie for me its boring :P

  • God that fire scene is the best.

That songs is so sad D:

  • GREATEST MOVIE I EVER SEEN

    plur

    daft punk's

  • me gusto ta buena

  • la moraleja que yo komprendi .. eske no seas un borrego mas ke sigue las putas rutinas delos sistemas de HUMANOS despues de todo HUMANOS.....

i hopee someonee else understand the reaal what it means..

    PLUR¡

    daft rockss¡¡¡

  • The reason Daft Punk use there masks is to hide there identity cause they want people to enjoy there music and dont want to be idealised for there , if you will 'human form' its all on there wikipedia and stuff

  • a valid criticism

i think it was a neat story but daft punk couldve shortened it to about 15 minutes and it'd be the same

  • OMG I like wow this was an eye opener

  • Hero Bot #1 Is My Favorite They Both Die!!!!! Freakin Robot #2 Just Had To Kill Himself By Making Him Set The Bomb!! Then Robot #1 Had To Kill Himself Because He Didn't Want to Live If Bot #2 Wasn't There!!!! MMMRRRRHHHH!!!!

  • wow...this was one of my favorite movies i loved it! at the beggining it was boring but when you understand the meaning of this movie this is reality man, alot of people arent accepting changes... I <3 daft punk

  • I think the movie is trying to represent how society doesn't accept the who you are. How you feel inside. They wanted to be different but society would not accept them.

Daft Punk dress as robots and we accept accept them. but will robots accept humans?

i need to watch again to make this out.Maybe on the weekend

  • gotta get me a fire suit like that!

  • the way the fire moves over the robot is amazing, along with the music played over the top..hand in hand they create a magic scene

  • you're all sad in some way... no offence

  • nigga i am 14 and i can even see wtf they're trying to say you know they do have a point to what they're saying stupid but yes i will agree that there are some people who can't just appreciate a good art film when they see one even though it was somewhat perverted with the sand vagina

  • what?! sand vagina!!! i didnt see on...but this is truly art and if you cant see that than i feel sorry for you. daft punk rules!!!!

  • I really didnt get the point of this film, it was boring, but i was entranced and couldnt look away...

  • there are no words to describe this.

This leaves me speechless each time. Thanks for posting it up.

  • Anyone who thinks this movie is lame cant appreciate art, try thinking of the movie as a visual abstract timeline of there musical careers.Just because a movie isnt fast paced and has bell and wistles all over it now-a-days, kids think that it sucks. Perhaps there cognative abilaties arn't advanced enough to understand a good movie when they see it.

  • A movie like this is a universe by itself. Unfortunately, Electroma goes over the average person's head, because it's all about the mental and emotional levels. Sex, action and, violence is not really needed to make a movie. This could be more or less about self realization/self acceptance.

Sometimes, in life the things that we want and desire to be, we already are. The robots wanted to be human, but they already were because they always had thoughts and emotions all along.

  • it was human all along beacause it could love and die for something, amirite?

  • yes

  • very right

  • omg i can't even describe the emotions i feel but that was really sad but it was very awesome DAFT BEST!

  • this truly was awful. anyone who enjoyed it is searching for something that just isn't there....i'm sorry but i really tried to enjoy it, but art for the sake of art just doesn't do it for me. And really, really, it wasn't that sad, there was no character development or quest. They tried one thing that didn't work and killed themselves because they couldn't be normal and not special in the community that they were in. Terrible movie...i can't even call it that.

  • I kind of agree with you. It may have some hidden meaning to the creators, but there really wasn't anything for an audience not in the know. I got the message, but it truly wasn't that great. I love Daft Punk, but I won't say something is fantastic just because they made it.

  • well i got the message... but the hole thing was just awkward.

  • ...

I feel like listening to Emotion now...

  • it was a nice movie but poor bots:(

  • the first emotion the robot felt was love

thats why it wants to die because it cannot co-exist without another one, its a co-dependant relationship between them and i think this movie was amazing

  • i dont quite understand the stories lesson. if there is one.

they want to be human so they go though the dessert and they both want to die???????

  • EXACTLY!!!

  • wtf!? god this shit was so boring i love daft punk and i love interstellar 5555 and i love thier music even more but seriously this was boring as hell and depressing! i basically skipped almost the whole movie first they drive for 7 mins! then they stand in a lab for 8 mins then they walk for about 13 mins only to commit suicide!? bad emo bots i should of gave them their own album and told them to cheer up! lol

  • hey dumbass..this is a illegal version..so it doesnt have the music with it..if it had the original.hell even added music i bet u be going nuts hard and retard strong over it

  • no this is the original even the one in theaters didn't have music! so think before trying to correct someone and call them a dumbass! the prob with this vid was it was slow boring and repetetive interstella 5555 on the other hand had action fast paced storyline and the music was just a awesome bonus

  • BEST MOVIE EVER but a :( poor robot

  • it's like they made two completely different movies...interstella 5555 was happy but then this just went down hill and i think they accomplished getting the message across that there is more emotion in the world than just human emotion...everything is envious...everything has thought of being something else and no matter what you do people or even robots find out the hard way that the best is to just be you...even in 5555 they realized that being themselves, as aliens, was the best all along

  • i've seen a lot of sad movies but this is so depressing..i love daft punk but this made me cry and i really can't get over how sad it is...one of them wants to kill himself because he can't be a human and the other kills himself because of the loss of his best friend and there is really nothing in this that made me happy...and i love it at the same time

  • i am sooo happy they made a film of this caliber. it is a great throw back to great science fiction films of the 1970's.

  • it make me sad :( but.....is he a robot or human?

  • aww that was sad!!

    I <333 Daft Punk! They're AMAZING!

This movie was sad...but good at the same time.

  • Daft Punk is awesome. They're music makes us dance n happy, but their movies go deep. For us to get so much out of a movie an hour or so long with no one in it speaking one word, thats tallant. Sad ending...

    R.I.P. Daft Punk

  • Such a sad ending.

  • Omg, it's so sad! :(

    Amazing.

  • humans don't exist anymore in daft punk's time so they are sad because of that and try to be humans but fail and prefer to die than living in sadness. SAD :( but true hu hu hu bu hu! hope there next movie or something has songs and a nice happy ending cause in there interstella 5555 the edning was sad too les sad but sad.

  • Up there with 2001:(...) on my list.

  • Wow. It's so sad.

  • It's so sad !

    Daft punk are gods <33

  • Wow.......

  • i feel sad.. but i like it!!

  • so sad and not one Daft Punk song but I liked it anyways.
