@delpuckett I would love if you tabbed this out dont have to be an exact just a basic work around i could learn the rest just by listening. ill give full credit even though i wont really be playing it anywhere but my own home lol
Bought at guitar 3 years ago, then finally began to take some serious lesson half a year ago. I can only do simple(still wonderful) melodies like "Romance" and Tears in Heaven.
But listening to this is astonishing. I wish one day I can get as good as this. really, no words. Love it.
plug in with an acoustic electric and stand on the front of the float and just rock out playing that dressed as a leprechaun during st pattys day parade
@delpuckett I have a theory, If you are a Master (at anything) you have the right to wear any hat you want. Look up Ronald Jenkees for further evidence. You sir, are a Master. :) Enjoy your hat.
@wingman0736 nice.. ronald jenkees is one of my favorite impromptu piano/keyboard players dude... i love that man, and wish he would come back. send me a friend request bro lol...
brilliant piece. i tried it on my guitar and snapped so i went to the music store to get a new string and got hit buy some guy on a bike - my knee is so sore right now, its unbelievable!
Fantastic, your ending chord cracked me up though. There's just something I find funny about a wonky jazz chord. Especially as there was nothing really jazzy about your piece, I still love it though.
amazing! 1/2 step off F# on the standard G string, would be oped D tuning , but it's left as it is to make a sus chord. He sounds like he's finger picking. (in parts) but it's the left hand freting combined with the open tuning. Might give it a try.
Jimmy Page is one mainstream guitarist that springs to mind. Davy Graham 'invented' DADGAD in the 1960s and it soon got passed on to Mr Page. The rest is history...
Ok so that was pretty amazing but do you know what would make it even better.....playing it really, really slowly. Oh and with the video zoomed in on the left hand. Just a thought ;o)
well you know its in the key of D, being its DADGAD, its really easy to figure out. i know what you mean though. for a second there ithouhgt you ment that it need to be played SLOWLY which that would be dumb because this is irish folky type of music, you dont play that slow. lol
You are really friggin good. YouTube is a real gift to those like me trying to figure out how to play different songs. I love this song but could not even begin to play it. Ah ended on a jazz sounding chord!!!
You should have offered someone out for a fight to get that true authentic Paddy ending.
Put a match box on your shoulder and ask someone to knock it off is always a good way to start;)
I learnt a lot from this. I changed my tuning to dadgad yesterday and have worked out some Irish jig scales(once you get the rhythm
going there's no stopping) and some nice sounding one finger chords(are they a chord with one finger??) It makes the guitar seem easy.
