We wear tallitot in the daylight hours at the synagogue or at home, if praying. A tallit is not appropriate for everyday wear. What's the big deal if we want to wear a keffiyeh? They are practical, they provide utility, and they are comfortable. My only problem is that the above keffiyeh is made in India and not by a Palestinian or Jew. Very unfair.

With the similarity between our tallitot (prayer shawls) and keffiyot, it is clear that a large cut of cloth is indigenous to the middle east. We wear tallitot in the daylight hours at the synagogue or at home, if praying. A tallit is not appropriate for everyday wear. What's the big deal if we want to wear a keffiyeh? They are practical, they provide utility, and they are comfortable. My only problem is that the above keffiyeh is made in India and not by a Palestinian or Jew. Very unfair.

The keffiyeh, while not belonging to any specific group, has been the symbol of Palestinian liberation since the 1930s, when the rebels (and sympathetic peasants) donned it in an effort to confuse the british. By the way, pigs are the cleverest animals... There are anti-terrorist units in Israel using them to find Arab bombs as pigs are brave in finding them. Their brain is better than that of terrorists and their nazi supporters! LOL
