Those were the day's, small basement show's or a show in some one's house. I played in band in San Antonio and we played with Zoinks,Dillinger Four, Doc Hopper, Scared Of Chakka, Man Dingo, The Parasites and many other great mid 90's bands in place's just like this. you can't do that any more, sad.
bullshit, emo goes back to a time long ago called the 80's with bands like rites of spring, fugazi, and embrace. then in the 90's bands like the get up kids, texas is the reason, mineral, sunny day real estate braid, cap'n jazz all came about. just because it isnt what mtv calls emo doesnt mean its not. because all this bull shit thats out today isnt what emo was in its heyday doesnt mean its not "emo" because they are displaying emotion....

oh the summer of 1996...i feel a little bad for kids these days. they really get a large amount of bad, bad, bad music. the punk underground was at its peak in the 90's. I wish i could relive it again...
