Nostalgic Dharma Jazz - The name was born in my home and I coined it. Two years year I was collaborating with Lewis Porter and Badal Roy, the question of name came up. Shakthi - meaning primal force - was already taken. Dharma means cosmic righteousness - a cosmic sense of duty and what is right. So, I suggested this name with this in my mind. I don't belong to this group any more. I smile to see them interpreting the meaning in a more entertainment-friendly and a hollywood-ish way!!

WTF is hollywoodish and entertainment-friendly about this? Jazz music is a performance art, not just done for entertainment. Although that can often be a side effect, its not the purpose behind it. This is hardly Britney Spears or the Jonas Brothers.
