Wow, Aussie opossums are SO much cuter than American ones! Ours are pretty ugly, although there are people here that like them and would disagree with me. ;-) But we have Raccoons here, which are cuter than any opossum could ever be! When my sister and I were kids, we raised 2 abandoned newborns. They grew up to be 2 big, healthy, beautiful, male raccoons. :-D I miss them so much.

Goodonya Girl! All lovely little Critters,I am up in the Highlands and they didn't have any problems in the part of the country we live in. Ferals are a Curse,Shire of Hepburn put down 65,000 ferals,mainly cats last year,I trapped,10 cats only young buggers,but the Ranger said they were to far gone,Bloody city people bring them up here and dump them in the state forrest, karma' the bad one is going to deal with them I am sure,I hope you enjoy your little partner.

@NeilJillett1996 I think you meant, fighting off predators matey. ;-) Feral cats and dogs are possibly one of the main probs. But there aren't too many carnivores otherwise. Still, there must be something there that keeps the balance of nature.

Very sweet! just be sure he lays in a natural position to feed, not on his back ok. Just sorta laying on his belly to eat so he doesnt inhale and die of pneumonia. If it inhales and it goes theu his nose, thats how they get it.
