A simple replacement of the faulty capacitors can fix the problem and by using better quality and a bit more powerful than the default ones you can get a no problem operation for much longer period of time ;)
My AL2423w recently did the same thing before it would no longer turn on.
It lasted a whole 2 months after I RMA'd it before it started having problems again.
I'm very disappointed in the build quality of the panel. I bought the monitor for $599, and I've already put an extra $100 into it just for shipping it back for repairs.
For $700 I could've gotten a different/better panel. Great job Acer!
Same for me, Only thing is it happened to both of my monitors at the same time. Acer fixed them and they worked fine, now 1 of them is doing this again.
Did I not say that the problem was with blown up capacitors in the power supply inside the display, after replacing the capacitors monitor started working just fine... And the power supply inside this Acer model was Fortron (FSP), which is quite the surprise, because they usually do very good power supplies for PCs... ;)
is can be a magnetic field if near speaker or something have magnet da best solution is to make coil power cable just roll it and plug look what its give
Never buy Acer again. I had problems here in Spain but with a LCD TV 37 screen from this bloody brand. Problem started just after one month we bought the TV. I got 3 repairs in 2 years warranty, waiting for months to get repaired each time. A shame. I've started a legal acction against them now.
I have a the same problem. please who can teach me? what can i do? i know this problem in my case. why problem?
