  • was she tall?? because sometimes she looked tinny but sometimes she use to look tall!

  • Even though watching her here makes me feel the urge to wrap her up and hold her and never let the world touch her, the small bit with the dog makes me smile and then I think about what a sweet heart she is, and I almost forget about all the hard times she went through =)

  • She is so sensitive and luminous. The instinct of most is to wrap her up in your arms and kiss her, rocking her to sleep.

  • This role of Roslyn WAS Marilyn- he took actual conversations and situations and made a script of it. The absloute pain- the bitter irony- of the words that Roslyn speaks IS Marilyn.

  • a superstar

  • miller killed her with roslyn - a collage of tabloid smears she had to bring to life with some truth and dignity.

if she had droppped out of this movie, she would have lived. the only question is how much money the studio paid him to use and betray marilyn.

  • @mysticgirl1000 your so right i have been wondering that myself.

  • This is on TCM today:)

  • she's lovely and endearing in this film, good performance.

  • My God! Marilyn's acting is SO SPECIFIC, and emotionally connected. She's truly talented.

  • i think this was based on marilyn

  • i cant believe this was marilyns last film ever

  • The music to the film is so hauntingly beautiful.

    God bless her.

  • It's obvious that when Marilyn is speaking about her parents never being there for her, that her pain is real.

  • yes..and probably bcuz it was really true in real life.

  • The film only gave us a glimpse of what she was really like.. So unlike what the studios wanted her to be. She was a real actress.

  • u can have SO much fun ... with me y

  • "I just hate to fight with anybody. When you win, you lose. You know, in your heart."

    I love this film :)

  • Marylin was damn sexy in that movie. They had her sleep with Clark Gable even thoough it was still pretty taboo at the time.

  • i saw a comment on the misfits. and youd put that marilyn monroe had been made to sleep with clark gable and youd said it was pretty taboo at the time' i dont no where you got the information from but it is incorrect. i dont no where the heck you got that info from!!

  • I meant she sleeps with Clark in the movie, not in real life!

  • wow Marilyn sounds SO different like SO un-Marilyn1

  • one of the best movies of all time!

  • i love this movie, theres just something so sad and painful about it. great movie, takes someone who understands their pain to understand the movie.

  • The Misfits is an important film, written by Arthur Miller. He was a brilliant writer: The Death of A Salesman, The Cucible, and much more. He wrote Misfits especially for his then wife Monroe. She, along with the rest of the cast, were excellent in this film. The film still speaks volumes about human nature.

  • Thelma Ritter: the greatest character actress ever.

  • R.I.P MARILYN DIED 45 YEARS AGO TODAY

  • A great scene from my favorite film. Thanks so much for putting this up. Marilyn was at a very fragile point in life during the making of this and it shows in her acting. Very poignant reminder of just how lost she was in her real life.

  • I've always felt that Marilyn was overrated as a sex symbol and criminally underrated as an actress. I agree that she looks so emotionally fragile to the point that it's unbearable. The best actors and actresses were the ones who were so willing to share their own frailties and vulnerability on-screen. Marilyn is worthy of every rave review she gets, and this teenage film buff is giving her one.

  • RubyTuesday . . . I could not have stated it any better than you did. Marilyn's beauty overshadowed her acting; however Marilyn's actign certainly came through in this movie.

  • @RubyTuesday717 "She looks so emotionally fragile to the point that it's unbearable". Well said! Totally agree with you.

  • @RubyTuesday717 compared to so-called sex symbols of nowadays, she is actually underrated

  • i love this move..watched it on pbs. marilyn rocks.

  • she was an amazing actress!
