  • just one more question for you,i also like the gamo pt85,nobody in canada seems to have it,dont suppose you do.?

  • @superbert35 I don't carry that one, I don;t get too many people asking about the Gamo stuff, Check out Wholesale Sports, they have some Gamo guns.

  • Just wondering if u had any of these in stock yet? i was wondering a month ago and it was on backorder still? i live in victoria bc and i would be ordering online,if this gun is available, would there be any hassels in getting it shipped here?thanks

  • @superbert35 Not yet, there is an EKOL order in customs right now, it "may" be on it? We ship from Canada so it would be no problem.

  • Is it Blow-Back???

  • @EKAMITHS1 Not this one.

  • @switchingtomac how much KG do you need to pull the trigger???

  • @PGNDG61 I have not measured it?

  • How much are those chronograph things!?

  • @KINGJADEX I paid $40 for mine used off of a friend but they cost over $100.

  • Tested my Baikal a few days ago when it was over 20 degrees celsius and the power dropped from 123m/s to 111m/s after a few shots but I shot faster than you. Co2 isn't the best propellant in my opinion. But still makes fun shooting Co2 pistols. :)

  • @bfgguns I just finished testing my Chinese AK 47 and it dropped off a lot, maybe because there is more barrel to cool down making more of a drop in fps m/s?

  • @switchingtomac

Could a be the material. Maybe steel cools down much faster than other metals or plastic. I don't think it's the barrel length because the longer the barrel the faster the gun shoots. That's the rule for Co2 powered gun.

But those russian made Co2 pistols and rifles are very wasteful on the Co2.

  • @bfgguns The gun will shoot faster at first because of the longer barrel but there is also more surface area inside of the barrel to cool down causing a larger drop in fps m/s as the barrel cools down and does not let the CO2 expand as much. In a pistol since there is less barrel the variable is smaller.

  • @switchingtomac

Okay, good to know. Haven't thought about this one. :)

Never read something like this on forums. But your testing proved it I guess.

  • Its illegal to fire an air gun outdoors within city limits...what makes you special?

  • @ninja6kid 1: I don't live in the city I live on a farm in the Township. 2: In Canada the laws for shooting airguns are very grey. It is up to the enforcing officer to decide if you are using your airgun in a safe manor and if there is and risk of injury to anyone around. 3: What makes you such a smart ass?

  • @switchingtomac I've gotten to the point where I just delete the troll comments rather than bother to try to explain. These guys thrive off trying to nit-pick ANYTHING in a video.

  • @taofledermaus I do most of the time too but you are right, big waste of time that I could put back into making more videos for the people who really appreciate them. Good advice!

  • @switchingtomac I gotta say I loved your reply to him!

  • By the way, out of the box my ES 55 was shooting about 3 inches high from the point of aim (POA) and to the right. If anyone experiences the same problem I reduced the height of the rear sight by filing it down very, very carefully (the slide is made of a soft zinc-aluminum alloy so don't overdo). Now it shoots exactly at the same level as the POA although still a bit to the right. Anyways, this can be easily compensated by aiming.

  • @varinra Mine also shoots high and to the right. I don't mind the hight as this is easy to manually adjust. It's funny how most guns don't have an adjustment for windage?

  • @switchingtomac

You are absolutely right. Every airgun in the price range over 100 dolars should at least have an adjustment for windage!

  • @varinra I think one of the reason they don't do it is for esthetics but still, I would prefer adjustable sites even if they took away form the guns lines.

  • Mike, my chrono readings agree pretty well with yours. At a temperature of 17C I rapidly fired a ten shot string using RWS Match BBs (5.4gr) in a DA mode. The highest velocity measured was 433 fps, the lowest was 410 fps (average of the 10-shot string was 423 fps). At the temperatures of 25-30C this piece is indeed going to shoot about 450fps. Excellent results for a BB pistol. SA 177 has an average of 400fps at 17C.

  • @varinra Thanks for the confirmation, it's always good to have another persons example!

  • I would love to see a chrony test of the Sig Sauer X-Five. I love all your videos!

  • @woozanl I want to do them for all my guns but I think it is only fair to wait for warmer temperatures to get more accurate readings?

  • @ifartwell Me too!

  • @ostric145 I really want to, the weather here is horrible but should get better soon!

  • coool

can you do that with the Umarex SA177 as well??

would be really cool if you could

  • @EphraimRodrigez I was thinking of going back and doing more Chrony tests on some of the guns!

  • @switchingtomac oh ok

its quite nice that you anwser so many comments

  • @EphraimRodrigez I do the best I can. I will for as long as I can...

  • WOot NICE man..that was amazig

  • @newbie20111 Glad you liked it!
