The natural form of the human species is actually female, so if you think about it any queer is perfectly normal, it's apart of all of us to like male or female alike. When in the womb a baby in a certain early stage will have gonads placed in the abdomen and all the female tubing. It's later when the y chromosome is active that testosterone is produced and the baby becomes male. Loved the video don't totally agree but puts a different perspective on the issue, thx

I agree that masculinity is terribly fucked up. My youth experienced as a male still fucks with my ability to relate to men now as a woman/genderqueer, and I hate that. It would be foolish to think that femininity is any less restrictive though. While a masculine woman might be more accepted in western society compared to a feminine man, both are considered wrong and to count pennies when all of us queers are shortchanged a whole dollar is pointless.

I think you are way off base with your understanding of masculinity. It may seem contrived to you simply because you are naturally more feminine. You're confusing masculinity with macho and domination. I would consider myself to be androgynous and I wouldn't give up either side of myself. And I don't see either side as being contrived. The real virus is the notion that femninity or masculinity have anything to do with the social construction of domination or submission.

I think that the idea that gender is static or has any rules is a virus. I think gender specific ideals (beit masculine or feminine) are evil. That doesn't mean I don't participate in or enjoy behavours that are traditionally one or the other... I just don't like people generalizing me. Great video by the way!

I have shifted a lot since making these videos. I have come to believe that Masculinity is bad for me. In fact I would probably call it "the will to dominate", which is a reactive form of Nietzsche's "Will To Power". Which again leaves open the question what Masculinity Is.

i am going to enjoy watching all your videos. this kind of stuff interests me, although i don't agree that masculinity is a bad thing compared to femininity. i think both have good and bad sides and i think they complement each other.
