@poopieflys He wrote "Not Penny's Boat". Penny was dating Desmond (the guy on the other side of the door) and they thought she was coming to rescue them. The men on the boat were bad (they threw the grenade through the window) and Charlie was warning Desmond so he could escape. If I remember correctly. :)
@InLoVeWiThLaNgStOn well you should watch lost then cause its the best show on earth!! basically charlie was going to die no matter what so he was trying to get it over with before he died in a way that hurt someone else.
@gecomaman no i mean he could of easily ran through the door and still had plenty of time to close the door on the other side of the entrance, and at the same time...stop desmond from running in
@eVaNdaguitar If he hadn't died the "picture on the box" would have changed. Like when Desmond saved Charlie in Catch 22 from dying, the parachuter became Naomi instead of Penny. If Charlie had not let himself die then Aaron never would have gotten off the island. It doesn't make a whole lotta sense, but that is what the reasoning behind it is suppose to be. Plus Charlie was going to die anyway, if not in the Looking Glass Station, then it would have been at some other point (course correction).
@eVaNdaguitar What everyone is forgetting is that Desmond could see the future and kept on foreseeing the death of Charlie- Charlie accepted that it was his destiny to die and sacrificed his life to save the others on the island.
@eVaNdaguitar If you watch again you'll notice the door only locks from the inside. If he ran through the door and shut it, the water pressure would push the door open and they'd all be screwed.
@julienkip Look, I'm not "angry for no reason." I'm just pissed that people always seem to care more for dumbass animals even CARTOON ones than for their oWN damn human race. And THAT"S the reason why our kind is so messed up. People don't care for each other anymore. If a cartoon "disturbed you emotionally" than I suggest YOU get counseling my "friend" There's something wrong with YOU. If you can't see THAT, than you're probably beyond all help now. My sympathies.
@ThePaganSun "The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him and the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog"
@HellhoundHex Why the hell should I care what this George guy said! I don't even know know who he is! But I can bet he was probably a hermit and even dogs turn on you, "pal." Believe you me. And again, it will NEVER compare to the loss of an actual human friend or family member. Not even a little.
If you people honestly think some that some cartoon dog not being cloned is sadder than these live action HUMAN losses, then you idiots don't know what grief is! Go mope on the Jurassic Bark video, you poor losers! These scenes are quite sad and i don't even watch these shows. Pfft. Retards.
@penguinboi87 It's true though. That's always pissed me off. A cartoon dog, really? When a wife got devastating news her husband died? People like that irritate me. -_-
@ThePaganSun You seem very angry for no reason. May I suggest some counseling? As far as Jurrasic Bark goes, that episode destroyed me emotionally for many reasons, not the least of which is that I was not at ALL expecting something so emotional from Futurama. I think different people are affected in different ways by sad things and I also think it is a very arrogant, (not to mention rude), to think you have the right to dictate what people respond emotionally to. What is wrong with you?
ok the one with charlie dieing pretty sad, desperate housewives not as much, but drake and josh really????????? haha i mean there are so many sadder moments in TV then this
for everybody watching and doesnt know the whole story behind charlie dying, he closed the door so that he would die. the scottish guy, desmond could see flashes of the future, and he kept seeing charlie dying. he kept saving him. but this time, charlie knew that this was his destiny. and as a main character since day one, it was a pretty sad moment for everybody.
@dontheunderdog not only that, but he did it because desmond's incentive to get off the island was to see penny, but he wasn't sure if she were still alive. charlie saw penny on the monitor and realized that she was still alive, and he didn't want desmond to die with him.
@Scope951 Oh, I don't deny that I cried far more at Fryrish than Jurassic Bark, but Fryrish's ending was sweet and heartwarming despite being sad, whereas Bark just flat out horrifically tragic.
Charlies death is one of the saddest moments from lost but whats even sadder is in the season 4 episode Ji Yeon where Sun visits Jins grave....i was bawling my eyes out then =[
this psycho russian guy and he like cant die or something like he keeps getting shot in that season and coming back randomly. he works for the people who want to keep everyone on the island and charlie and everyone else want to get off
Also, I do agree about the whole bad quality and the Drake & Josh part not being very sad.
You should replace it with the scene of Futurama I talked about. Or maybe the scene from Futurama where he finds out his brother Named his son after Fry.
Or maybe not anything from Futurama. I don't know, I always welled up a bit when I saw those scenes.
@jijgfidjidhh Luck of the Fryrish was incredibly emotional and had me bawling for ages, but it was bittersweet, not tragic — so it wouldn't fit in with the flat-out miserable moments here.
@hulksapprentice Man..I've never cried because of a cartoon but that episode was so brilliant. Everytime I watch it, I can't help but cry my eyeballs out. I guess it's because so many people have had pets that were close to them that passed away..
@hulksapprentice I have to say that Fry's dog and the Fresh Prince episode where his dad comes back are the saddest moments in television in my book...I tear up everytime I see them both
That was so sad watching Brea learn of Rex's death! I remember watching that and bawling for so long afterward because it was just so hard watching such a strong woman cry.
