That is no abrams, that's a k1a1, a tank based on the M1 Abrams.

The first 10-15 seconds after the M88, yes, those smaller ones were K1A1s and K2s, but the larger ones (seven roadwheels on the side) are our M1s. Check the gun tube for further ID... the M256 120mm on the M1 has a much more significant bore evacuator (that 'bulge' on the barrel) than the K1s' 105mm. @nedeljko18 hey hero, ever been inside an abrams when an rpg hits right out side? it sounds like a .45 acp hitting an iron block, they bounce off and fly sky high or they make a little pop. that tank graveyard did not come from rpg's, it came from Artillery, EFP's. RPG's of any type have never penetrated an Abrams

@tiberiusgun - thats because the first rpg 29 attack hit the challenger between the turret and the main body by the main gun, thats a week spot on every tank. and that abrams that you were talking about was hit in relatively the same spot but i think it only penetrated a little bit on the challenger do to where it hit. but the explosion the rpg 29 is much much more advanced and powerful than the regular rp7

@tiberiusgun - yeah side hits or frontal hits on an abrams, challenger, or leopard are pretty much useless with an rpg 29, even with other tank rounds. the armor these three use is extremely strong and practically unpenetratable. one amazing thing is during the first gulf war and apache fire and hit an abrams with a hellfire missile with no deaths to the crew... a hellfire man, those blew t72s to pieces.

@tiberiusgun - tanks have been the an infantryman's worst nightmare since they first entered the battlefield, but over the years the fear has decreased due to so many anti tank weapons but when faced with modern day american, british, german, and sk, nato etc tanks, defeating them is almost impossible. oh and the thing about the 20-40 rpg thing is true, i think it was a challenger that got hit, remember when your faced with an armored enemy, the armor is the first thing you wanna take out

Negative, poonjoo. As an ex-19 Kilo with three combat tours, let me assure you, the M60A3 was a great defensive tank. The Abrams' design was specifically for offensive maneuvers, with the capability of firing on the move at 40 miles an hour and making it a one shot, one kill deal. God bless.
