  • @BennyI no in japanese if the words belong together with a hard vocal between its spoken more softly. k -> g

    In this case Oikomi-geiko belong together. Same with Debana Kote -> Degote.

  • @macbluescreen Yeah, that is true. However, I have found myself to have heard both. Guess it comes down onto the accent you take on. For example, heavier accents kansai for one, tends to pronounce this as Keiko

  • @BennyI hmm maybe. When i was in Osaka and Kyoto i remember der also said geiko instead of keiko when in combination. But ok maybe depends on the person.
