@DuchessAliana Me too, lol. I've seen it twice already and I'd go again if the 3-D didn't make it so expensive (though for this one the effects are totally worth it). This movie is just so much fun! :D
Me, learning that Tintin will premiere in Europe before it appears in the US: "Smart! Refreshing that Hollywood acnowledges (sp?) the birthplace of an icon!"
Realizes that this means I have to wait two months to see it: "Aw, crap."
Honestly, I understand and accept that plot changes will be made from the books being adapted to the movie. Cinema and graphic novels are two different medium.
The thing I will look for in this movie is the spirit of fun and adventure so prevalent in the comics, not any particular "trueness" to the events of the three books. I am happy to say that it looks like this movie captures that spirit perfectly and I look forward to watching it. :D
Hello from Paris. Hope this motion capture movie will make American spectators discover Tintin cartoon universe. Funny to see that they present it as a cross between Pirates of the Caribean and Indian Jones... since "we" in Europe compared Indiana Jones to Tintin's universe in the 80s. Incredible film anyway even if (of course) different from original cartoons
@JayNellzFosho I've seen the movie and I think it's amazing! Even though I don't know him until the movie came out I understand that it came before all the other movies of adventure. I hope you like it too because it was a real treat and I wish to learn more about the comics. I am asking my dad to find a copy of the comics and I'll read them one by one :)
Well, Uncharted came out before this movie. Even though the books came out long before, it doesn't have the same presentation as the uncharted games. But this movie has very similar presentation to the Uncharted series. Just saying.
fingers crossed for The Adventures of Tintin II :)

Tintin. The perfect cross between two movies which came after the original stories.
Did Calculus invent a time machine or...?

@Mrjjbi I'm from America and I actually grew up on the Tintin books/cartoons.
I'm actually extremely excited about this film and I hope it does stay true to the stories even if it's a bit different.
I'm also hoping that Tintin is seen more in America, but I'm also hoping that we don't decide to "steal" it and ruin it.
XD

Almost lifelike, so why not make a live action movie.
19630541 3 months ago
@19630541 it can't be live action because of his Dog Snowy...Snowy is so expressive that it can't be done by a real dog..

@EnglishTurtle No it doesn't. What about it is it similar to Uncharted, other than being CG?
