  • Our top load Maytag is possibly not going into the rinse cycle. The downey ball is not opening and often the washer is off and looks like it has finished its' cycle, but when I open the lid to place the laundry into the dryer, the washer is full of water. Could it be the timer or something else, please? Thank you.

  • Great info. Looks like I'll have to replace my timer due to breaking it off during a move.  Now I know how!
