  • this song makes me think of the old house i used to live in, A guy hung himself in the attic back in the 40's...there was some WEIRD SHIT that went on in that place, im getting the creeps just thinking about it

  • It's a mix between the theme song for 'The ward' and Amity Ville horror.. :)

  • I love this song and the book too

  • Very well put, I'm also one of my favorite soundtrack. Thanks!

  • Fantastic music

  • @zsozo1 I do agree. One of the best movie soundtracks I've heard. Just pure, spine-tingling music.

  • I watched this when I was 5 years old. I'm 21 now, to this day, this movie scares the shit outta me still. 80's horror was awesome

  • @thebadseed90 Yes indeed, 80's horror was awesome! When I was maybe 11 or 12, the 80's just got started with the horror flicks. At our favorite theater, there would be at least 2 new horror movies opening each week. Inside the theater, way in the far left of the building, they had a showcase wall where they displayed the upcoming movies.

First thing we would do is run to that display wall and look at the upcoming movie posters. Just a great, great time. Glad I grew up in it.

  • Depp*

  • Johnny drop is not playing the doctor. They haven't castes the remake yet , hell they didn't even write the script yet. Remake comes out 2013

  • This was the very first horror movie I ever watched :')

    Ahhh..memories <3

  • uan locura ese soundtrack.

  • the sequel was a waste of popcorn LOL

  • di...did... did she say.... PAXCOW?

  • great song!

  • Great stuff. I wasn't quite 9 when it came to the theater. We saw commercials on tv for it, and I asked my mom if we could rent it when it came out. (remember vhs tapes??) We rented it one late morning. I remember making my mom get on the bed with me because this freaked me out. Its a great movie and I feel badly for the kids that are growing up with awful remakes and over the top special effects garbage. Sometimes basic is better.

  • The book was so uncanny I loved it.

  • One of the most scariest soundtracks...

  • This movie disturbed me for life. But.... I loved it! <3

And the soundtrack was beast. I cried when Gage got hit, I am currently reading the book, but the movie was really good!

  • Thank you for uploading the music rocks and the movie is great

  • from what i hear there doing a remake of this and johnny depp is to play dr.creed

  • This book scared the hell out of me!

  • When I was watching this movie, a real truck roared past our house, thus, making me nearly crap myself.

  • This is my all time favorite movie -- horror or otherwise. This movie was so eerie and the storyline was incredibly creative and engaging. The movie was done flawlessly, and the soundtrack was perfect (which I almost never say about anything). I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. If only movies were still like this.

  • The first Pet Cemetary was really good and scary, but the second one? What the fuck? And it's the same director...

  • @hankheavy The first one was based on the Stephen KIng novel, which was amazing. The second one was written by some stupid screenwriter.

  • I was expecting to hear the truck roar past at the en like it does in the movie lol. This is my fav movie of all time. Of all TIME.

  • what a dark song....!!!

  • just the music is soo creepy.i love the book and movie.

  • this if it is a true soundtrack of a horror movie

  • I remember this... i just forgot to get it!, thanks for upload and remind me that :)

  • That damn boy @ 2:23 scares the crap outta me

  • Who plays this??????

  • Comment removed

  • @mjpj3050 Elliot Goldenthal( also composed music for Alien 3, Interview with the vampire, Drugstore Cowboy and many others!)

  • BEST MOVIE EVER and that's y I lov this song

  • this music is creepy as hell i'm a click off this page!!!

  • Gage!!!

  • I love this soundtrack so much! so beautiful!

  • @Possedee beautiful my ass, it's creeping the shit outa me!

  • @lijit77 hahahaha!

  • @AlexLostinStereo yeah that one's great too, they actually sound pretty similar, whenevr you add a choir to a horror theme, its just really creepy.

  • this is probably the creepiest theme to a horror movie that i've heard

  • why it is so hard to find the movie nowadayS ;(

  • @Puolakanaho That's why i bought the shit the first chance i got! it's my favourite horror flick. they didn't have to use a lot of scary make-up. it's the story that gets you.

  • @lijit77 meh im more blood and gore(pinhead type of shit) fan but then again i love stephen king

and this movie never came to stores in my home country :(

  • Holy shit man where did you find this this is fucking awesome! i remember the first time i watched Pet Sematary i was scared shitless just after the opening credits cause of this theme. Hands down my fave horror theme ever screw that tubular bells exorcist crap this is how a horror theme should be done.

  • They should ramake it and actually follow the book this time...the original adaptation was okay but far from great. I'm against remaking movies that are "classics" like Nightmare on Elmstreet because the bar is set way too high for the remakes to live up. Where as this adaptation of the book wasn't the greatest - the bar is set pretty low.

  • @metalmike83

I agree 100%, remakes try too hard. I'd rather see a low-budget film, that followed the book to the T. Then an expensive over the top gore fest that will probably suck. Horror movies these days are full of blood, when the good horror movies hardly had any blood in it. You don't need tons of blood to get the point of fear across.

  • @danialglover you're right. they didn't have to use a lot of scary make-up. it's the story that gets you!

  • @metalmike83 you do realize that Stephen King himself wrote the screenplay right?

  • OMG I've been looking for this song. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie and I just hope the remake doesn't fail.

  • OMG I've been looking for this song. I love the music and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the movie and I'm just hoping the remake doesn't fail.

  • There's gonna be a new remake of Pet Sematary. Personally, I think that's fucked because the original is just perfect. The acting is decent, the setting is great, the music is amazing...

  • @44Neely44 I totally agree with you. Pet Sematary was as close to a perfect horror movie that has ever been made. The remake is going to be total crap.

  • Is it me or do Pet Semetary sounds like the Amittyville theme.

  • @bIancoitaliano yeah the children singing is almost exactly the same. I like this one way better though

  • this song is so sad that it could make me cry a thte begining

  • Pet Sematary = Depresion fuel... in a good way.

  • I dont see any similarty between Amityville theme and This. Amityville theme makes me think about my grandmothers houe (thats not an a joke! im being serious)

and this theme makes me feel depressed. in a good/awkward kind of way. *pay no mind to my spelling*

  • super movie & super score!!!

  • one of the best classics ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love Stephen King, this is a masterpiece!!!

  • Pet Sematary was a very depressing movie...

  • Using this track in my final performance in drama. XD It's perfect!!! Helps me remember my lines too... odd much...?

  • very nostalgic

  • OMG! This song just... I don't know... It's creepy but at the same time it's so beautiful... *-*

  • at 1:16, it sounds VERY ripped off in a portion of 'Twilight' I know, I know, it was on Showtime, but when I heard that piano whenever the girl is in trouble, I thought, "that's from pet sematary"

  • i love all this movies

  • Pet Sematary has one of the most creepiest soundtracks!

  • Pet sematery is one of Setephen King's best storys.

  • I´m totally agree

  • fucking music rocks. i live this movie!! this is when movies were scary. this is my fav one

  • yeaah It was a great thriller and horror movie.

With an awesome soundtrack too ;D!

It's a shame that nowadays horror movies don't have such great stories like this one.

I think there is a lack of imagination nowadays on movies...

  • @PauMetal90 Very true

  • @PauMetal90 lack of imagination is it exactly, but not just on the part of hollywood. the kids that go to see horror movies anymore are bombarded with 'music video syndrome', constantly shifting scenes, big flashy colors, etc. they can't sit still long enough to enjoy a suspenseful movie thick with atmosphere and mood, so hollywood relies on jump scenes.

  • @dub8balldub The movie is awesome, but it's still not in any way as psychologically or philosophically amazing as the book.

  • This isn't bad, but for some reason I find it a little creepy.. lol..

    Great movie though! =D

  • wow another great point.

  • no they don't,They making way too many of those these days,I Loved this movie, always makes me sad for the poor animals.I'm an animal person too,so it ven made it more creepy, plus stephen king from what I've heard wrote the book about how sad it was that his cat got ran over by a truck and it almost happen to one of his kids, scary stuff!

  • no, they need more creative people in the movie industry who can come up with original ideas of their own and stop copying or remaking other movies that have already been done.

that's what they need to do.

  • exactly. and take it easy on the special effects because they make everything seem less real

  • I always tell my friends that they need 2 remake da movies that was shitty. Not the good 1's. But overall that american filmmakers is fucking up badly.

  • @mrfunderful haha u f*%#ing read my mind XD

  • he gotta to make a remake of this movie

  • Great book too.

  • One of my favorite films!

  • Great movie, great soundtrack..I have met Denise Crosby 6 years ago...I approached her with the lines:"Racheeeell...I will get you..and Gage will get youu..for leting us dieee..."

  • watd she say

  • Cool. How did she react? By the way, I just saw the movie last night-seriously messed up. Great soundtrack, though.

  • I gotta admit this was one of those childhood movies that made me just about shit myself. This eerie music was just the icing on the cake

  • Couldn't help but to comment on this again! I LOVEEEEEE This, the book, and the movie! the songs are very creative and child like :'D thankyou so much for the upload! without this music my life wouldnt be complete!

  • I'm glad that it is bringing you joy. I am all about uploading obscure stuff.

Don't forget to keep the light on.

  • best horror movie ever see

  • I looovvveee this!

  • Loved it !!

The book was great and scary, better than the movie which was good as well.

    Thanks for posting it

  • I dunno if I could say the book was better than the movie... I thought the parts in the book about how those who were brought back acted different was scarier, and the part in the movie about Rachel's sister was lame, but the fact that it was still about how grief, a kind we could all experience, could utterly ruin such a seemingly stable family man like Louis and drive him to do something so insane. And Dale Midkiff totally nailed the part. That scream when Gage died will haunt me forever.

  • what`s better the movie or the book?

  • This is crazy creepy lol...love it. You can download it on itunes. That's where I got it.

  • Epic /D

  • damn scary ...

  • why do i feel like ive heard this in some other movie... like the haunting?

  • Goldenthal was heavily influenced here by Lalo Schifrin's title theme for "The Amityville Horror"

  • i agree that there is a similarity between this and the Amityville Horror theme.

  • Comment removed
