this song makes me think of the old house i used to live in, A guy hung himself in the attic back in the 40's...there was some WEIRD SHIT that went on in that place, im getting the creeps just thinking about it
@thebadseed90 Yes indeed, 80's horror was awesome! When I was maybe 11 or 12, the 80's just got started with the horror flicks. At our favorite theater, there would be at least 2 new horror movies opening each week. Inside the theater, way in the far left of the building, they had a showcase wall where they displayed the upcoming movies.
First thing we would do is run to that display wall and look at the upcoming movie posters. Just a great, great time. Glad I grew up in it.
Great stuff. I wasn't quite 9 when it came to the theater. We saw commercials on tv for it, and I asked my mom if we could rent it when it came out. (remember vhs tapes??) We rented it one late morning. I remember making my mom get on the bed with me because this freaked me out. Its a great movie and I feel badly for the kids that are growing up with awful remakes and over the top special effects garbage. Sometimes basic is better.
This is my all time favorite movie -- horror or otherwise. This movie was so eerie and the storyline was incredibly creative and engaging. The movie was done flawlessly, and the soundtrack was perfect (which I almost never say about anything). I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. If only movies were still like this.
@Puolakanaho That's why i bought the shit the first chance i got! it's my favourite horror flick. they didn't have to use a lot of scary make-up. it's the story that gets you.
Holy shit man where did you find this this is fucking awesome! i remember the first time i watched Pet Sematary i was scared shitless just after the opening credits cause of this theme. Hands down my fave horror theme ever screw that tubular bells exorcist crap this is how a horror theme should be done.
They should ramake it and actually follow the book this time...the original adaptation was okay but far from great. I'm against remaking movies that are "classics" like Nightmare on Elmstreet because the bar is set way too high for the remakes to live up. Where as this adaptation of the book wasn't the greatest - the bar is set pretty low.
I agree 100%, remakes try too hard. I'd rather see a low-budget film, that followed the book to the T. Then an expensive over the top gore fest that will probably suck. Horror movies these days are full of blood, when the good horror movies hardly had any blood in it. You don't need tons of blood to get the point of fear across.
There's gonna be a new remake of Pet Sematary. Personally, I think that's fucked because the original is just perfect. The acting is decent, the setting is great, the music is amazing...
@44Neely44 I totally agree with you. Pet Sematary was as close to a perfect horror movie that has ever been made. The remake is going to be total crap.
I dont see any similarty between Amityville theme and This. Amityville theme makes me think about my grandmothers houe (thats not an a joke! im being serious)
and this theme makes me feel depressed. in a good/awkward kind of way. *pay no mind to my spelling*
at 1:16, it sounds VERY ripped off in a portion of 'Twilight' I know, I know, it was on Showtime, but when I heard that piano whenever the girl is in trouble, I thought, "that's from pet sematary"
@PauMetal90 lack of imagination is it exactly, but not just on the part of hollywood. the kids that go to see horror movies anymore are bombarded with 'music video syndrome', constantly shifting scenes, big flashy colors, etc. they can't sit still long enough to enjoy a suspenseful movie thick with atmosphere and mood, so hollywood relies on jump scenes.
no they don't,They making way too many of those these days,I Loved this movie, always makes me sad for the poor animals.I'm an animal person too,so it ven made it more creepy, plus stephen king from what I've heard wrote the book about how sad it was that his cat got ran over by a truck and it almost happen to one of his kids, scary stuff!
no, they need more creative people in the movie industry who can come up with original ideas of their own and stop copying or remaking other movies that have already been done.
I always tell my friends that they need 2 remake da movies that was shitty. Not the good 1's. But overall that american filmmakers is fucking up badly.
Great movie, great soundtrack..I have met Denise Crosby 6 years ago...I approached her with the lines:"Racheeeell...I will get you..and Gage will get youu..for leting us dieee..."
Couldn't help but to comment on this again! I LOVEEEEEE This, the book, and the movie! the songs are very creative and child like :'D thankyou so much for the upload! without this music my life wouldnt be complete!
I dunno if I could say the book was better than the movie... I thought the parts in the book about how those who were brought back acted different was scarier, and the part in the movie about Rachel's sister was lame, but the fact that it was still about how grief, a kind we could all experience, could utterly ruin such a seemingly stable family man like Louis and drive him to do something so insane. And Dale Midkiff totally nailed the part. That scream when Gage died will haunt me forever.
