  • Beautifully sung! Brava!

  • Some of the finest Jazz singers like Blossom, Shirley Horn, and Carmen McRae, suffered by never managing to score at least one big hit. I firmly believe that all a Jazz singer needs is a good band behind them, but that one hit could have introduced them to a much wider audience.

  • I am embarrased to say that I had not heard of Blossom Dearie until this last weekend on an NPR show, and once again, I have found someone after they have already passed. I love her piano style. Just wonderful.

  • That voice is so fresh, even now. Just unique and so beautiful.

  • There is no one that can ever come close to replacing Blossom. It's funny that she does "I'm Old Fashioned" so well....and "I Am Hip" just as well. It really describes her ability to sing both old fashioned and hip.

  • Blossom may be old-fashioned, but her voice that will haunt you a long, long time will never go out of fashion. Bless her.

  • The album cover pic was taken during the period that had the extreme pleasure to watch her perform, in "The Village," NYC. She was marvelous and such a very person. Blossom was as sweet as that wonderful voice. RIP Blossom.

  • ma blossom~

  • SOOOOOOOO underrated.

  • me too bloss.
