  • This video is so awesome u are really crafty!!:) thanks so much:)

  • Loved it great thanks so much

  • @sbaydcc Thanks to you for commenting

  • @Fancylooks - I watched this one! For some reason it didn't have the pink boxes the first time I watched it! How strange! Anyway, I went and watched the updated one, too! :-D

  • @sezzyberr You are very kind to explain me, thank you.

  • you are SO creative! wow!

  • @sezzyberr Thank you for such a nice comment. I am creative but this idea could have not been "created" if it was not created together with other YouTubers ideas that inspired me.

I am wondering... did you watch the video like that, with the pink box on it??? or did you go to the updated video and came back here to comment?

Thank you for commenting and being so kind.

  • Luv dis! New subbie:) luv ur idea for depotting eyeshadows

  • @baby5589 Well, the idea for depotting eyeshadows is not mine, it is taking from the videos I indicate in the links you see in the video. But it is a great pleasure for me that you have learnt a way to do it that you like and that maybe helpful.

  • your accent and english is just fine. I bet if I tried to speak your language it'd be barely recognizable

  • @jbarum Thanks, I am glad it is just fine enough to be understandable. I think my English accent and fluency is improving a bit thanks to making this YouTube videos.

  • @Fancylooks By just fine I mean perfectly fine. Lol. It's just an expression meaning there's nothing wrong with your English and you have a lovely accent.

  • @jbarum Oh, thank you very much once more, don't worry, your first comment was all OK for me, I am glad to know my accent sounds nice to some of you, so maybe it makes watching my videos more enjoyable for you.

  • Your accent is wonderful and you have very nice English! Don't apologize for a beautiful accent like that :) :) I love your video!

  • @MsMaxim89 Thanks to comments like yours (I am amazed by the amount of them I receive) I have accepted that my accent, when I speak English, can sound nice to others, even though it doesn't sound good to me. In fact, I have stopped saying I apologize for my English because many people have encouraged me to do so. I owe you very many thanks for making me much more confident about my English.

  • your accent is wonderful; =) love ur video, GREAT tutorial! Thank u!

  • @LK031210 Sometimes I wonder why some people find my accent attractive, but I am very glad you do so, then you don't find my videos annoying and I can help you with my crafty suggestions. Thank you for commenting.

  • Best DVD palette I have seen! Definitely going to be trying this. Thank you so much ~-3

  • @DarkAndiel Thanks to you for letting me know.

  • thumbs ups! to you dear.... this is GrEaT! I fancy a big pallette like this plus i can save money now..:) Thanks!

  • @ljae07 I am happy to read so, I am happy to help you save. Make this palette and you'll find out how happy you are because you know you made it... and saved money.

  • u saveeeeeeeeeeeeeeed my pocketttttttt!thanks

  • @F33F33ful You are welcome, it nice to help you save your money, crisis is getting all over us and every little bit saved counts.

  • thank you so much for this! i wasnt able to find any cheap ones online and this has worked great! much love

  • @jobrosfan1613 It is a pleasure for me to help you in two ways: organizing and saving money. Much love to you.

  • love the idea thank alot much...

  • @lolipop020202 Thanks to you, please, take advantage of it!

  • This is an amazing idea! I'm going to use this to organize my eye shadow pans. Thank you! :)

  • @seemak12008 You are welcome! I am glad to help you in your organization. I have two other videos on organizing make up related things-nondepoted eyeshadows and glitter- take a look at them, please.

  • this is the best I've came across

  • @naturedbeauty23 Thank you, that is very kind to tell me.

  • your english is fine thanks for the video

  • @TeaNZane Thank you for your kind comment

  • 5:44 groupie ?!?

  • @themsgodzillagirl Ha, ha, if you are asking me what I am saying in that precise moment, it is not groupie, it is "groovy", I am referring to the decorative paper with the stars, because it is kind of Seventies style.

  • thank you so much:D this was so helpful and is going to save me so much money...

  • @crismerly Well, that is true indeed. This palette may not be as posh as the Z palette itself, but you feel more proud of it, as you made it, and you make your "piggy bank" fatter as well!

  • Just finished cutting up my DVD case! So excited!

  • @AphroBeauty Well, now comes the best part, the hardest has gone. Enjoy your work. Congrats.

  • hello my dear, i made already 6 (!) paletts following your idea! they are great! i love them! they look so pretty and save me so much space in my bathroom!

  • @lakleo Oh, WOW, I already made two and planning to o my third, but six is incredible, you are a great worker. I am now using the color of my decorative paper outside as an indication of the general color of the shadows in my palette, as the one you see in this video is now for my blues and black shadows, and my new one, you can see it in my newest videos, is a beige and pink flowers paper where I keep my neutral and pinkish eyeshadows.

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR GREAT WORK AND SKILLS!

  • 6 dislikes thats sad, this is amazing!

  • @adisonsinging I look at the four hundred something "likes" and I feel very happy so many people agree the palette is good enough to do,. I look at the 6 dislikes and I just feel sorry 6 people don't find this video useful, but I know I did my best, not everybody has to agree with me and that is OK, please, don't feel sad about it, feel happy if this idea helped you in any way and... just do it if you feel like it is worth it.!.

  • i love your accent! idk why?

  • @TheUnicornFreak113 Thanks, I know why I like your comment, because I was not confident about my accent before uploading this video and now I feel OK about it.

  • @Fancylooks well im an accent person and ive always wanted one! and yours is perfect!

  • ahhhh ur face scared mee

  • @annalovesmakeup16 Booooooh! If you want to get really scared watch any video where you can watch my complete face with no make up on.

  • Im actually considering throwing out my Mac palletes and making these, they are so unique!!

  • @LittleMissNawtie Oh, please, don't. Another option could do is taking the tray with the circles out of the mac palette and covering all the base with the magnetic paper. You won't have a window to see the eye shadows but your palette will hold more shadows and it will look more classy.

  • I love your accent! It is so wonderful to listen to, I don't know why :)

  • @icantsleepsohereiam And I love your nickname, is so incredibly original, thanks for commenting! ;-)

  • thank you for such a great tutorial. I loved it!

  • @xcurlz75x You are welcome, I hope you take advantage of it.

  • you speak english well! lovely idea

  • @whoacaseytran Remember I could do this idea thanks to the inspiration I got from other gurus, I just added my little twist to it.

  • This is an amazing palette! Adorable!

  • @ComputeNSmiley Thanks, I hope you do your own one and enjoy it!

  • I think your English is wonderful and very impressive! I'm sure it's hard to be as eloquent as you are in a second language. Also, this is such a great idea. Thank you so much!!

  • @TheLizHaley Thanks you for commenting. This video is quite old, I guess my English has got better, less clumsy, thanks to YouTube, one of the best ways to practice a foreigner language is to listen to all your different accents , understanding and and commenting. Making my own videos in English is helping me a lot more in not loosing track of this language I love and listening to all of you improves my vocabulary in an incredible way.

  • Thank u for the best idea ever! thank u so much! LOVE IT!

  • @dcjentadc You are welcome, thank you for taking your time commenting and I hope you take this idea into action and that you find the magnetic paper, some people have difficulties for finding it, I bought it in a craft shop near my home.

  • @Fancylooks Actually i made it today, I live in a very small town named Mosjøen in Norway, and i dont find the magnetic paper but i just glued the eyeshadow on :-)

    Thank u , big hug!

  • @dcjentadc Congratulations, that is a great solution.

  • you are crazy and i love it!!

  • @misslozzieful And I love that you love it, but it is funny that this is one of my most "serious" videos and if you consider I am crazy just by watching this one, I cannot imagine what you will think after you see, for example, the Raffaella Carrà transformation one!

  • This is amazing. You are so talented. It's way better than paying $20 for something just as good. And don't ever apologize for your accent, it is what makes you, you!

  • @veggirl2011 Wow, that is a wonderful compliment, I never thought of that, i always wish I had a nice London accent, like a friend of mine from that city who is an English teacher. But so many people tell me my accent is nice I am astonished. And yes, it is worth the effort of making the palette, and you'll dafe much more than 20 dollars, because you will make more than one with time...plus you recicle! I recicled that DVD box I didn't need.

  • definitely awsome, i am going to get all the materials tomorrow! can't wait for the making of the paletts :D thx sooo much

  • @lakleo You are welcome, I have already done two and will need to do a third one soon, I am depoting some old shadows. I recommend you check the idea I had for classifying make up, the Veclro-eyeshadow-board, no depoting needed video.

  • this is awesome!!! best homemade pallete ive seen so far, and i have seen quite a few!! and by the way your english is great! as a matter a fact i loove you accent!! very flattering! =]

  • @anna63rubio Wow, thanks for your flattering words indeed, I am glad to help you. I have a new video with an idea on how to make a simple box to carry a single depoted eyeshadow when you don't want to take the whole palette with you, maybe you find it interesting too.

  • @Fancylooks o really?! sounds interesting! i will definitely check that out!! do u have a link for it??

  • @anna63rubio If you go to my channel and look for "Make a simple box for a depoted eyeshadow" in my videos list you'll see it. Hope you like it.

  • This video is AMAZING! And your English is amazing too! Love this video :)

  • @makeupisanobsession Excellent, thank you very much for your feedback, it is very much appreciated. My English is getting better thanks to YouTube and all the people that support me, just like you..

  • I think your English is great:)

  • @Konditsoineer Thank you so much, YouTube is one of the best ways I have ever known to improve the knowledge of a language. I am learning a lot here, so I get a bit better now and I can refine my clumsy-rusted English skills thanks to you all.

  • @Fancylooks

I actually am Estonian but I also have learned lots of words from YouTube. I also shared this video with friends :) Me gusta tus videos.

  • @Konditsoineer Ohh, muchas gracias, estoy encantada.

  • Awesome! I definitely have to try to make one myself. :-) I think your English is very very good. Plus I like your accent. ^_^ Thank you for sharing your creative tips with us!

  • @reinamarisa And thanks to you for commenting, it is very much appreciated.

  • WOW! Cool! :)

  • @Konditsoineer Thanks! I advice you to have a look at my latest video about doing a simple box to carry a single depoted eyeshadow in your make up bag when you don't want to carry the whole palette.

  • Wow.... So Simple and genius !!! I Do my own Z palette with a cigar box and zebra print tape, it take me so looong and it was complicated.

For sure my next palette will be like this :) wow... Thank you for sharing

  • @MakeupIlove21 Sure the one you made was also very nice and that it was also worth your effort, maybe this one is simpler but it takes some time too, specially the part were you cut out the window in the lid, which is the trickiest, but also worth the effort. I am glad to give you good ideas.

  • Ur english is amazing! I have been speaking some french for around 8 years, and have spoken some italian for 5 years - I couldn't speak in either languages as fluently as you speak english though! xx

  • @PrincessE8888 Do you really think so? Well, that makes me happy. I feel confident about my English when I write, but not so much when I talk, as my accent is not very good. I lived in London for 2 and a half years, but that was long ago, 20 years ago, so, from them on, I hardly had occasions to speak English in a daily basis to keep it fit. Thank you very much, I have decided not to say sorry for my English and many of you tell me is not that bad. Hope you like the palette.

  • @Fancylooks Thank you so much for the tutorial, I think it's so much better than any of the other dvd palettes

  • @PrincessE8888 Thank you very much, i appreciate your comment, One of these days I have to upload a new video about how to keep one depoted eyeshadow, hope I have the time.

  • @Fancylooks I shall look forward to it! x

  • Thank you soo much!! What a great tutorial. Your pallette turned out really nice. I'm going to try this later today, one for me and one for my friend... Way better than spending $40+ on the Z palette

  • @shimpals What a nice gift for a friend. Be careful when cutting the dvd case, that is the trickiest part, it takes long as well. Don't use too much pressure when cutting, it is much better to try to cut it with several cuts on top of the other than only with one, you get much more control on what you do and it is less dangerous. If you don't have a printer for a nice paper, you can also use any cute wrapping paper you may have or stickers to decorate it.

  • What a great idea and good job with the english. Where do u come from ( I'm not a stalker I'm 14 ) like ur accent?

  • @pinkduckproductions1 Thank you, YouTube and people like you who comment such nice things make me more confident about my English, so I feel more relaxed while talking to the camera, I hope to improve it every video I make. I am from Spain and I live in Spain.

  • i so love your ideas ,,you are so helpful to me anyways,,guess your my new friend from italy,,,lol,,,thanks again,,

  • @missjoy36 I am glad to meet you and glad to help you too, but I am not from Italy, I am from Spain and I live in Spain. I appreciate your nice comments a lot, I hope you find other useful ideas in any of my other videos.

  • great job! i hope i could get those materials! tnx

  • @Arabella Hope you find the magnetic paper, if you can't find it at any craft store, there are some places in ebay or any online shop were you can get it.

  • @Fancylooks thanks i found one! hehe thank you for this tutorial

  • @Arabella You are welcome, Glad for the good news

  • @Fancylooks thanks i find the magnetic pad hehe thank you for this idea, because there is no z palette in my place thanks

  • great job! where are you from? italy?

  • @xXAlice4everXx I love Italy, but I am from Spain, which I love as well...and even more.

  • Amazing. Absolutely wonderful. I know that your videos will reach plenty of people.

  • @sumLsum I am glad this video is helping a lot of people to decide on saving money with their own homemade palette, I get lots of messages about it, so I am very, very gratefull to all of you who give me feedback and tell me my videos are worth your time.

  • I love it

  • @Marielovesblue Thanks for telling me.

  • I am surely going to do this! Thanks a bunch!! And by the way your English I perfect!

  • @KitKat12002 Hope you can find all the material and hope to hear if you are happy with the results or no.

  • @123sherylin This is excellent!! EXCELLENT! Don't you feel proud of what you did?, in Spain we say "Más vale tarde que nunca" which means something like "Better late than never".

CONGRATULATIONS, you have saved money, you have recycled some DVD cases and you must be very happy about finally taking the best decission.

  • Wow this video was the best ive seen so far and your accent is amazing, it made me feel comfortable i like your music too haha

  • @Ashley04missy You are welcome. You think my accent is amazing??? Maybe amazingly strange? I wish I had Lisa Eldridge accent (check her channel, she is absolutely and truly amazing). Thank you very muh for your compliments.

  • Oh my gosh you are so creative!!

  • @toni5365 As I explained many times before, I only did a compilation of ideas other people had and added my own idea to it to improve what I have learned from other people's ideas. Thank you for your nice comment, you are very kind.

  • thank you for this video! i want to try something like this now :)

  • @ssmL91 Please, try it, you wont regret it... well, maybe you will just regret not having done it before!

  • MUCH better than most I have seen on here...thanks for sharing!

  • @fetishisticrose And thanks for commenting and being so nice!

  • i love your accent it is very charming and i love your ideas;) thank you

  • @jennygirlstar It seems funny to me to find out my bad accent sounds charming to many people, I am very grateful for you to tell me you like my ideas, all the feedback, positive and negative, is appreciated.

  • BEST DIY PALETTE! I am totally inspired!

  • @goodmorningkimchi Great to help you, the cutting the dvd box is the worst part, do it carefully and little by little, you'll get more control and it is less likely you harm yourself. Hope it turns out well, I already made another one and I am planning to do my third.

  • Donde compraste el papel tipo iman? Gracias

  • @moretumi00 En una tienda de manualidades de esas de toda la vida, de las que venden figuritas de escayola para pintar, también lo hay en algunas ferreterías o en la sección de papel especial para impresoras (pero este es muchísimo más caro).

  • Are you Spanish, because your accent remainds me my accent (I´m from Galicia)

    I like this video ;)

  • @heladodevainilla4 Sure I am Spanish.... y gallega también ;-)

  • BEST BEAUTY DIY I HAD EVER SEEN.

  • @dorki3 Oooh, thanks so much, that is a very kind appreciaton

  • Your accent is absoluteyl beautiful and English is one of the most difficult languages to learn so you are doing absolutely outstanding! If i had not been taught English as my first language growing up i highly doubt i would be able to speak more than a few words of it today <3

  • @HelloSexKitten This is a beautiful compliment and I really want to thank you, this type of comments had made me more confident about my English, thus making more videos in English and not saying sorry for my accent anymore. Somedays I speak in a clumsy way, some days i get a better accent, it depends so much on my mood...

I think English is an easy language because verbs are quite simple, Spanish is much complicated in that way. I guess the secret for good English is learning more vocabulary.

  • @Fancylooks I am so happy to help, you keep doing exactly what you are doing and everything will be great :] i subbed and look forward to getting to know you/your channel <3

  • This is absolutely wonderful! I looked through so many DIY palettes, and this is by far the easiest, cheapest, and economical of all the ones I've watched. I recently backed up all my movies on my computer so I have now made a ton of shadow palettes out of the empty cases. It work perfectly. Also, love the Benny Hill music!

  • @sjh012055 Ha, ha, you liked the Benny Hill show? I must say it is very outdated nowadays, but extremely funny if you take into account it was made in the 70s, especially if you lived during that era and know what way of thinking the society had by then.

I always want to remember that I could make this palette thanks to watching some other people's videos and adding my own ideas to what I learned. Without the other videos, this palette would have not been possible.

  • So cute! Best diy palette I've come across! & don't apologize for your accent =]

  • @tiffwatson7 This is very kind of you to tell me, in fact I have stopped apologizing for my accent because many of you have told me I shouldn't, and that is a great encouragement for me to continue doing my videos in English. I may not speak like a BBC announcer, but if you understand what I say, that is all we need!

  • @Fancylooks haha absolutely! if you do anymore DIY makeup storage videos I will definitely be watching =]

  • It's really awesome idea. Thanks for sharing.

  • @kaining1209 You are welcome!

  • Ciao!! i think this is a fantastic idea and i'll try to realize it...sorry for my bad english!

    :D

  • @sarokkialaranokkia Please, don't apologize for your English, i can understand what you say, no problem, English is not my mother language either. Thanks for writing a comment to let me know you enjoyed the idea.

  • GREAT VIDEO! I had seen a couple of these, but none of them inspired me or attracted me enough to actually want to try this out, but yours did so thank you!

  • @gemineyesmeow Thank you for commenting and letting me know. To make this palette I had to get first some inspiration from other people's videos, so this is just a compilation of ideas from other Youtubers and a bit of my inspiration.

  • that is very smart.

  • @IsabellaLicious10 Thank you for your kind words.

  • This was EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!!

  • @lajoi1983 Thank you for letting me know, if you have any doubt when you are doing your palette, if you do so, please ask me, I'll be delighted to help.

  • going to the store to buy materials!!!! Love it!

  • @yomaira617 You won't regret it, and maybe you'll like it so much that you will build another one.

  • This was very helpful! Thanks! (:

  • @CityofBeauty Glad to be helpful, I guess so many people are helpfull for me in YouTube that I must give something in return. Cheers!

  • Your accent is awesome I wish I had your accent I have a Boston accent but yours is wicked (Boston's way of saying cool for those who don't know) I love this idea I rather make my own palette instead of buying MAC or others thanks for the idea and glad to have you YouTube!! :D

  • @marissahowell1 I can't believe what you are telling me about your accent, it can be that bad for you to prefer my clumsy accent! Anyway, thank you for being so kind, I appreciate what you are telling me and send you a big hug with the best wishes for this New Year. Hope you do one of this palettes and enjoy it!

  • woooow

    hi

Can you help me, how to Depot my Bourjois Eyeshadow ???????

    thanks

  • @TheRoseHDA Is it the normal single color one with the thick case? Never tried one of those, if you tell me if it is that kind of shadow I may give it a try to one of mine and see if I can help you.

  • Your English is just fine and the idea is fabulous! Thank you!

  • @embersky38 And thank you to the people who posted videos before me that inspired me, I just added my own touch to all the ideas I had seen. Thanks for commenting.

  • Thanks to share this amazing idea! I love it!

  • @achadosdeumaperdida I am glad it adds to the rest of palettes ideas in YouTube, Thank you!

  • your accent is beautiful! great video, i might try it!

  • @watchashley Please, do , you won't regret so!

  • Lovely tutorial and your accent is cute!

  • @BoboJonsey Very kind to tell me so, I appreciate it. Hope it helps you in some way.

  • Your accent is the cutest thing ever!!!!!!!! You don't need to apologize, the English is great!

It's not so easy to find magnetic paper at a reasonable price in Brazil... and would be nice to get one of those that comes with the peeling adhesive on the back, but I'll keep looking!

    Obrigada pelo vídeo!!!

    ; )

  • @alimarinho Thank you very much, I've already stopped saying sorry for my accent because it seems is not as bad as I thought, at least people understand most of what I say. It's very encouraging getting comments like yours to feel more secure about speaking English and getting to reach more people with my videos.

I have found 2 kinds of magnetic paper in the shops, one for inkjet printer, but the magnet is not so strong, and other one for cutting shapes, which is the best one for this palette

  • This is the BEST DIY pallette video ive seen. liked, and favorited :)
