Unlike Britain, the US has private health insurance systems. The program would have allowed the states to buy some for the poor children. Does anyone know how much of California's budget is under direct control of the California legislature? Five percent. California has freeways up to 24 lanes across and gross domestic product that ranks them 8th in the world, what does your state produce besides a vacuum for federal dollars?

Unlike Britain, the US has private health insurance systems. The program would have allowed the states to buy some for the poor children. Others besides Stark have commented that the poor generally vote democratic so the republicans would prefer that they die. This is politics here today.
