Audit Integrity recently published a list of companies that performed poorly in its rankings of corporate governance.
One of 5 cited on June 23, 2008 was Apollo Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: APOL), footwear manufacturer Crocs, Inc.
"These ratings are cause for concern that the companies may be intentionally deceiving their shareholders to mask serious problems," according to Audit Integrity Chairman Jim Kaplan.

On April 14th, 2008, the stock dropped 30% in after-hours trading after the company issued a press release in which they significantly guided down earnings estimates for the first quarter.
In the same statement they also said they would fire its 600 Quebec City factory employees as retailers have been reducing orders.
"The retail environment in the U.S. has become increasingly challenging as consumer spending and traffic levels have slowed," Chief Executive Officer Ron Snyder said.

It's amazing how someone would try to pin the blame for the 1973 OPEC Oil crisis on a Democratic president not elected until 1976.

He is going to lower taxes but what he doesn't tell you is that most will go to the wealthy (earning $603k+) and Obama will keep taxes the same for everyone making between $227k+ and $603k+ and not to mention lower taxes for incomes below $227k.
McCain is giving the wealthy tax breaks up to $270k and gives those earning the least (under $66k) tax breaks ranging from $19 to $319 compared to Obama's $567 to $1,042.
Everyone making under $112k will pay less taxes with Obama as their president.
