  • i cant hear you :S

  • the guy on the left side of the top of his head is really scary

  • You should record this & then mirror it so we can copy you side by side :]

  • Hahaha "If you don't know what a capo is or a ukulele is, go to..."

  • i love this. I just got a uke last week and have never played an instrument before in my life ... i can't wait to learn this

  • capo on the 4th and play a G D Em and C and replace the F diminished with an A.

  • @BlueBeauty14 I would prefer a Kamaka or Makala uke for starters. I hoped this comment helped. ;D

  • Can somebody please help me with the strumming pattern?

  • As beginners, we found playing with the capo a little clunky up 4 frets, but we also like to play along with the original Jason Mraz recording which you can't do if you play in C as shown in the 2nd half of the tutorial. My 12 year old son, after playing a stringed instrument for all of 2 days, suggested tuning the uke down a half step! As a many year guitar hack I was humiliated. You can play the easier C, G, Am, F, progression and play along to the record. Thanks for your help!

  • its funny that u say a baby can plan, because there is a video of a baby playing it..lol

  • can a guitar capo work for a ukulele?

  • hi :) i really wanna buy a Uke but i know NOTHING about them, and what a "good" Uke is. i really need help on what kind of one to get, and one that is good but not gonna break my dads wallet,(hes thinking of buying one off of ebay)? hah also im 14 and would it be a better idea to go to a teacher or learn myself, im really into wanting to learn,i just need to know what kind of uke to get and stuff like that. sorry if this is long but thanks so much if u reply :)

  • Thanks for the response .. and so fast too. Yep, it has seemed to me that the brain just adjusts to the different instrument (guitar/ukulele) much as you say like a second language .. amazing actually.

I found the old video you did with your cat "Chupie" ... it was on your "Free Falling" tutorial .. the cat was your co-star.

Keep up the great work !

  • You are the best ... many of the others are good too ... as tutors .. but you are the best .... say, where is the black cat .. that made you famous in that one tutorial ??

Ohh, and question .. I am a six string guitar player for decades, who added a ukulele to my game about a year ago .. question .. do you think the different fingering throws one off from one instrument to the other .. or is it a non-issue ?

  • Ukelele's are about 30 quid in my local music shop (specialising in guitars etc., so I trust 'em) So, me thinks I shall go buy one! Haha! When I have the money...I bought a hat with the stuff I had! Billabong, so it was to be expensive!

  • I don't understand the strumming...got my ukulele 5 days ago...Help Pweez!

  • @cheezecake135 5 days ago? Try learning the chords first dont go directly to the songs!!! i suggest madelines ukulele lessons for kids, if you arent a kid do it anyways its more simple

  • i really want a uke, but i dont really know anything about em? whats a good, affordable type of ukulele?

  • @TnAFilms74 My favorite is Lanika, just got one the other day. There some of them are pricey, but there are one or two that are under $100 that are good.

  • i think id confuse my brain if i started playing the ukulele AND guitar :S i like ukes though :)

  • I mean no insult to the accordian. My dad was a professional accordionist and it is quite a complex instrument!

  • When will youraccordionsage be up?

  • @katzenratz HAHA! I LOVE the accordian. It was actually the first instrument I picked up. But I suck at it now because I don't practice it. I DID just get a melodica though and I LOVE that thing yourmelodicasage all the way!

    :)
