  • Powerful voice.... beautiful message.

  • JESUS is LORD!! ima super freak

  • Instead think of it as another message about humanity and how one should behave. Take care of children and those who cannot care for themselves. and be a good human. :-)

That includes knocking someones personal faith down because you don't agree with their beliefs. I dont agree but I don't attack those that do

  • one doesn't need to be religious to enjoy TSO> I am an Atheist. And make no secret of it but I love TSO and their music. I am a Christmas Nut because the music is beautiful and makes you happy and I love the decorations. Try to enjoy the music for the art and majesty of the music and the skill with which it is performed and not think of it in religious terms.

  • Wish I could take the sentiment seriously. Unfortunately, the history of the bible and its glorifying of torture and war, the judeo-christian religions and their total lack of mercy to anyone who isn't "correct", doesn't seem to have much to do with peace.

  • @Lamashtar I felt really compelled to respond to your comments. I'm not trying to start an argument here but I've been a Christian all my life...and read the Bible quite a bit. I don't recall any parts where it glorifies torture, war or a lack of mercy for others. I think you may have us confused with another religion... Jesus' teachings and resurrection are the capstone of the faith and in no way endorse the things you have mentioned. I'd be happy to discuss it with you.

  • @eternalwolf777 Well God does command the Israelites to kill everyone and their animals on multiple occasions, so it is by no means a completely peaceful book all the time

  • @zimeron1 Have you noticed he hasn't done that for a few thousand years or so or did you miss that?

  • @52381a duh thats why i was referencing the Bible, which was written a few thousand years ago

  • @zimeron1 I take it you missed it....

    Thanks for playing though

  • @Lamashtar Where does the bible - or indeed any of the religious books of most major religions do that !! .... Now the "people" who follow some of those religions - yes in some cases thats a different matter

  • Jay Pierce doesn't actually need a microphone...

  • TSO always adds majesty to all the Christmas songs they interpret...thank you for posting :-)

  • I love this show!!!

  • Jay Pierce is a monster! He could do the entire TSO Christmas show all by himself (including the narration!) with an acoustic guitarist and the crowd would still go home completely blown away!!!

  • No matter how many times I see TSO live or hear this song, it makes me cry every time they do this piece. It's just loaded with feel and emotion. Just listen to how quiet and captivated the audience is.

  • I saw them in Indianapolis (Conseco Field House) on December 23. They get better every year. It's Christmas on steroids. Be ready to rock and rejoice.

  • Saw TSO on Dec 26th and 27th, at the Allstate Arena and Palace of Auburn Hills... I travelled over 4 thousand miles from Brazil just for these concerts...and it was AMAZING!! Worth every penny, every mile traveled!!

  • I would like to sing for me,eh:)

  • My two favorite voices of TSO.... Jay Pierce singing and Bryan Hicks narrating. Awesome.

  • Saw him chills up and down my back... :)

  • Great Song!!!

Too Bad I Missed Their Concert Up In Ottawa

  • Can't listen to this without shedding a tear... beautiful....

  • Definately the best version of this song....

  • wow!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow!!! his voice is just amazing!!!!

  • This guy is great!

  • best male voice i think

  • Wow... just... wow

  • Um, and the audio? I can barely hear a thing. However, what I'd give to be there!

Um, there's a song by TSO which appears in Beethoven's last night, which starts with something like: "What's Eternal?, and here in the night as I hear the inferno, "? Anyone know the name?

  • that would be "What is Eternal"

and it starts with the "and here in the night...."

  • He sounds so much better than the lady on the CD. I can't stand the song on the CD, it's her voice or something.

  • I love the original

  • I guess it's just me...I like the song itself though.

  • merry christmas

  • this is the greatest christmas song ever done

  • Stanthefag, you say there is no such thing as Christmas. That's the dumbest thing I've ever read. Jesus Christ is real, but even if he was not "Christmas" would still be a holiday! Christmas is made a holiday by the millions of people who celebrate it, saying it's not real is like saying cars don't exist or birds can't fly.

  • ur aad

  • i literaly cried it was that good.

  • Yahshua Reigns! Halleluyah for the King is born and lives today!

  • Love your comment. Totally agree!!! Merry Christmas to you!!

  • barthunt1, Merry "Christ"mas to you, too!!

Don't forget the Reason for the season! Altough He was not actually born in December, His birth, death and Rise are all that matters! Maran'atah!!

  • Well Merry Christmas to you too stan! A freak? Yes, I AM a Jesus Freak and glad, too! I wouldn't want to be any other way! Once you get to know Him, you will be too! Merry Christmas!!! Yahshua is the Reason!

  • @cdo4Jesus How true. I believe that intentional or not that God is lifted up in this material. A Jesus Freak ? if the criteria for being such is believing Him to be Lord of all then I too am a Freak.

  • was tis at the verizon center??

  • Comment removed

  • excellent voice!

  • best voice ive ever heard

  • This song brings me to tears. It's one of the few songs that truly capture what Christmas is really about.

  • that's right

  • im goin tomorrow night with my girlfriend in hartford. it's my 2nd time going and i love these guys my gf never heard them before so hopefully she'll love it

  • how did it go?

  • i loved it. it's gonna be my yearly tradition from now on

  • Same for me, went to my first tso concert on the dec4th, and it was incredible, it is a must see.

  • OK I'm a man and all, but screw it...I've seen TSO 3 times and EVERY time they do this tune I am moved almost to tears. It makes you want to yell out "I love EVERYbody!!!" :))))

  • saw the in tampa nov 14 in tampa for the second time, this was THE awesome song, only thing better was the savatage songs played in the second half; prelude to madness and believe.

  • Besides "Wizards" and the snow, this is the BEST part of the show. Chills man.

  • the begining guys voice soulds awsome.

  • omg, he just sounded like Hendrix when he said "can you hear me Chicago"...whoa.

  • Ive seen this twice, going to be a third time. This guy has got some serious soul.

  • yeah man, this guys is amazing

  • I look forward to this song every year. It's seriously amazing.

  • I thank you for posting this song!!! This is my favorite one they do. I played viola with them this past year in Albany it was incredible! I am a viola performance major and I want to do christmas programs like these to reach out to people with the holy spirit and classical music.

  • The bench mark for artistic expressions are so low in the post-modern world. Bands like these should give a clue to the other 70% of bands that they should get a real job to prevent the sound wave pollution. A lot of original thought and explosive energy has been invested in the TSO performances and it shows.

  • It's good to find intelligent people on YouTube. I understand completely and I agree.

  • i 2nd that

  • they need to let him record this song

  • He DID record it. There is a limited edition live EP from last season, exclusive to Wal-Mart. Jay sings this song live on it, from Madison Square Garden in 2006.

  • TSO, is the most incredible experience!

  • That Narrator (Brian Hicks) has an incredible voice. I want to hear him sing too !!!

  • the moving top lights and the different color flames were alsome

  • With all the fighting over whether this is Christmas or Holiday and christmas decorations being destroyed, watching TSO brings back the Spirit of Christmas.

  • TSO live is an amazing experience, and Jay Pierce makes it that much better. His voice and energy are amazing, and he always has me sitting on the edge of my seat. Seen the Winter Tour the past 3 years in Ft. Wayne, and I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything.

  • Love that Jay Pierce!

I put up a similar video before I noticed this one, I like this one much better, thanks

  • TSO is so amazing indeed!! I went to my first TSO concert last year and I am going to see them again next week in CLT.There is nothing else like TSO...the music, the light show, the compassion....is awesome. If you have never went to one, please go! I plan on making it a family tradition each year! Merry Christmas everyone!!! armygurl8389

  • is this the colorado springs show?? i was there 12/5/07!!

  • This is the Chicago evening performance from 2006. I'm the guy that filmed this.

  • ...yeah ok

  • Um, yeah is right. I also filmed the Chicago show in 2007. Dig up either of those bootleg DVD's and you'll see the 6stringer logo. Whatever dude.

  • I just went to see them in Buffalo last Sunday 11/25. TSO is so AMAZING. I would go again in a heart-beat. This song is beautiful. Thank you for posting it!

  • the Buffalo show was amazing!

  • Is 13 rows from the stage too close?

  • After seeing them on the 30th, i would choose to sit up in the balcony a bit. The light show is awesome from there, but don't know if 13 is too close.

  • does any1 know where else i can find this version of the song???

  • It just came out on a 6 song CD sold only at Walmart and it has a live version of this song - worth the cost of the cd for just this song!!!

  • thanx ive got to get it!!!!

  • I just saw this concert the day before yesterday at Mohegan Sun!!!!! best concert EVER

  • Saw this last night in Dayton. Jay Pearce performed this for his hometown audience. Excellent job as usual! His mom was in the audience. I know her. Great lady very proud of her son!

  • They kicked off their 2007 tour in the city where I live. First time I've seen them and I must admit my jaw is still open in awe of them. Took my 75 year old neighbor with us and she loved them, so they truely are transgenerational entertainment. I will definitely go next year as well.

  • Hi we went to the show Nov 9, 2007! As usual it was OTT! Ms. Chello was was fabulous.

  • this version is absolutely beautiful!!!

  • woot my concert is dec 8th i cant wait this is my 6th year in a row goin nd the best part its also like an erly bday gift cuz i turn 18 6 days later

  • Going to the Philly show are ya? Me too!

    Woo Hoo!

  • where u sitting at there like what section?

  • Mine is four days later, in Greenville, SC, and if we like that one as much as I think we will and tickets are still available, we may catch the show in Charlotte after they go through New York, DC, Raleigh and Greensboro. We're about 45 minutes from the Bi-Lo Center (just on the NC side of the state line) and about 1 1/2 hours from Charlotte, so I'm so stoked...

  • New One! Woo Hoo! awesome! Love it!

  • This is good, But west plays it so much better, Jane puts in a really cool piano blues solo in the middle of hark the angels... its awsome I love Jane! I love bob too, but jane... wow

  • So then why was the East version the one selected for the new Wal-Mart EP? Jay Pearce is absolutely awesome on this, that's why. West also has a tendency to drag the tempo on the songs when playing live.

  • awesome its that time of the yr again..TSO rox :d

  • Just phenominal

    when was this ?

  • This is the Chicago evening show 12-9-06. How do I know? I filmed it, LOL. Kinda funny, I got busted right at the end of the show but still kept the tape. Enjoy.

  • i just love this...
